The Political Parties Act (Cap. 7D), Appointment
The Judicial Service Commission appointed Jacob Ngwele Muvengei as a Member of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal for a non-renewable term of six years, effective 6th July 2026.  

The Statutory Instruments Act (Cap. 2A), Public Notice on Regulatory Impact Statement and Public Participation
The Cabinet Secretary for Health published a Regulatory Impact Statement for the proposed East Africa Centre of Excellence in Urology and Nephrology Order, 2026, which seeks to establish a specialised regional centre providing urological and nephrological referral and tertiary diagnostic services. The public was invited to submit memoranda within 14 days and participate in the consultation process.  

The Companies Act (Cap. 486), Appointment of Members of the Board of Directors 

The Governor of Nairobi City County Government appointed members to the Board of Directors of Green Nairobi Limited for a period of three years, pursuant to sections 128(2), 129(1) and 132 of the Companies Act and the company’s Articles of Association. 

The Water Act (Cap. 372), The Companies Act (Cap. 486) and the Water Services Regulations, 2025 — Re-appointment 

The Governor of Nairobi City County re-appointed Agnes Mumbi Ngaru as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Limited for a period of three years, effective from 12th August 2026. 

National Treasury and Economic Planning, Statement of Actual Revenues and Net Exchequer Issues
As at 31st July 2026, actual revenue stood at KSh367.34 billion against original estimates of KSh5.18 trillion. Total Exchequer issues amounted to KSh315.12 billion, including KSh21.4 billion released to county governments under the equitable share allocation. 

The East African Community Customs Management Act, Overstayed Goods — Mombasa
The Kenya Revenue Authority notified owners of overstayed goods held at Mombasa Container Freight Stations that the goods must be removed within 30 days or be treated as abandoned and disposed of through online public auction scheduled for 28th September to 2nd October 2026. 

The East African Community Customs Management Act, 2004, List of Overstayed Goods — Inland Container Depot Nairobi 

The Kenya Revenue Authority notified owners of overstayed goods at the Inland Container Depot Nairobi to enter and remove them within 30 days, failing which the goods would be treated as abandoned and sold by online public auction from 28th September to 2nd October 2026. Interested buyers may view the goods on 24th and 25th September 2026 during office hours. 

 The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Fuel Energy Cost Charge 

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority notified electricity consumers that electrical energy prices for meter readings taken in August 2026 would attract a Fuel Energy Cost Charge of 351 Kenya cents per kWh. 

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Foreign Exchange Fluctuation Adjustment 

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority notified electricity consumers that electrical energy prices for meter readings taken in August 2026 would attract a Foreign Exchange Fluctuation Adjustment of 117.77 cents per kWh, based on the exchange gain/loss and electricity units generated and purchased in July 2026. 

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Water Resource Management Authority Levy 

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority notified electricity consumers that electricity prices for meter readings taken in August 2026 would attract a Water Resource Management Authority Levy of 1.50 cents per kWh. 

The Water Act (Cap. 372), Kisii Water and Sanitation PLC — Approved Tariff Structure for 2026/2027 to 2028/2029 

WASREB approved an upward tariff adjustment for Kisii Water and Sanitation PLC (KWASCO) for the 2026/2027–2028/2029 period following public consultation and stakeholder submissions, to support improved service delivery, financial sustainability and consumer protection. The new tariffs take effect after a one-month notice from 14th August 2026. 

The Water Act (Cap. 372), Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company Ltd — Approved Tariff Structure for 2026/2027 to 2028/2029, Corrigendum 

WASREB revoked the tariff structure previously published for Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (ELDOWAS) and approved revised downward water and sewerage tariffs for the remaining 2026/2027–2028/2029 period. The revised structure includes new charges for water, sewerage, connections and other services, with the utility required to meet specified service-delivery, investment and reporting conditions. 

The Water Act (Cap. 372), Murugi Mugumango Water Society — Approved Tariff Structure for 2026/2027 to 2028/2029 

WASREB approved an upward tariff adjustment for Murugi Mugumango Water Society for the 2026/2027–2028/2029 period following public consultation and stakeholder submissions, to support improved service delivery, financial sustainability and consumer protection. The approved tariffs will take effect after one month’s notice from 14th August 2026. 

The Water Act (Cap. 372), Narok Water and Sewerage Services Company Ltd — Approved Tariff Structure for 2026/2027 to 2028/2029 

WASREB approved an upward tariff adjustment for Narok Water and Sewerage Services Company Limited (NARWASSCO) for the 2026/2027–2028/2029 period following public consultation and stakeholder submissions, to improve service delivery, ensure sustainability and protect consumer interests. The approved tariffs will take effect after one month’s notice from 14th August 2026. 

The Kenya Information and Communications Act (Cap. 411A), Application for Licence 

Onanawaves TV Limited applied to the Communications Authority of Kenya for a Commercial Free-to-Air Television licence to operate Ushirika na Nuru TV. The public and interested parties were invited to submit representations or objections to the Authority within 30 days of publication of the notice. 

The Kenya Information and Communications Act (Cap. 411A), Licence Upgrade
Savanna Fibre (Kenya) Limited applied to upgrade its Network Facilities Provider licence from Tier Three to Tier Two. The Communications Authority invited public objections or representations within 30 days.  

The Political Parties Act (Cap. 7D), Change of Political Party Particulars 

The Farmers Party notified the Registrar of Political Parties of proposed changes to its symbol, slogan and colours, including a new maize-stalk symbol, the slogan “Sauti ya Wakulima”, and green, white and yellow-gold colours. Members of the public were invited to submit written objections or representations within seven days of publication.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) notified the Registrar of Political Parties of its intention to amend its party constitution. Members of the public were invited to submit written representations or objections within seven days of publication.

The Pragmatic Party of Kenya applied for provisional registration. Members of the public were given seven days to submit written representations to the Registrar of Political Parties.

The Farmers Party notified the Registrar of Political Parties of changes to its national officials, including the Party Leader, Deputy Party Leaders, National Chairperson, Secretary-General, Treasurer, Organizing Secretary, Women and Youth League officials, PWD and diaspora representatives, and other party positions. Members of the public were invited to submit written representations or objections within seven days of publication.

The Party for Peace and Development notified the Registrar of Political Parties of its intention to relocate its head office from Fideco Plaza, Juja Township, to Muthaiga Suites, Thika Road, House No. 4. Members of the public were invited to submit written representations or objections within seven days of publication.

The Kenya Reform Party notified the Registrar of Political Parties of its intention to relocate its head office from Rosslyn Reviera House No. 34 to Rosslyn Reviera House No. 44. Members of the public were invited to submit written representations or objections within seven days of publication.

The New Democrats notified the Registrar of Political Parties of its intention to amend its party constitution. Members of the public were invited to submit written representations or objections within seven days of publication. 

The East African Community Customs Management Act, Customs Area
The Commissioner of Customs and Border Control designated the Sotik Special Economic Zone in Bomet County as a customs area and specified its entry and exit points.  

The East African Community Customs Management Act, 2004, Appointment and Limits of Customs Area within a Special Economic Zone 

The Commissioner of Customs and Border Control designated Sotik SEZ Limited in Bomet County as a customs area covering 39.77 hectares on LR No. 8420, with specified boundaries and coordinates. The notice also designated an entry and exit point for the customs area in accordance with the approved layout plan. 

The Co-operative Societies Act (Cap. 490), Extension Order — Appointment 

The liquidation period for Mandera Handicraft CS Limited (in liquidation) – CS/2725 was extended for a further six months, with John Ndungi re-appointed to continue serving as liquidator after being unable to complete the liquidation within the initial period. 

The Labour Relations Act (Cap. 233), Amendment of Constitution
The Registrar of Trade Unions notified members of the Distributive and Allied Trades Association of proposed constitutional amendments and invited written objections within 21 days.  

The Physiotherapists Act (Cap. 253D), Registered Physiotherapists
The Physiotherapy Council of Kenya published an updated register of registered and licensed physiotherapists, covering practitioners with diploma, degree and postgraduate qualifications.  

The Companies Act (Cap. 486), Dissolution and Intended Dissolution
The Registrar of Companies published notices concerning the dissolution of companies and the intended striking-off of numerous companies from the Register. Persons wishing to object were invited to show cause within the prescribed periods.  

The Civil Procedure Act (Cap. 21), Representative Proceedings
The High Court at Kiambu authorised Peter Mulati Nabiswa v. Optiven Limited to proceed as a representative action involving purchasers who paid deposits or other sums towards land purchases but did not execute the proposed sale agreements and subsequently had deductions imposed or refunds withheld. Affected persons were given 30 days to file a notice of intention to join the suit.  

The Insolvency Act (Cap. 53), Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation and Petitions
The Gazette published several insolvency notices, including the appointment of Tejas Joy Bhatt and Saheel Mohamedshakeel as joint liquidators of Timac Agro East Africa Limited, bankruptcy proceedings involving Martha Khayanga Tulienge, and liquidation petitions against Directline Assurance Company Limited.  

The Mental Health Act (Cap. 248), Appointment
The High Court appointed Lucy Wanjiku Ngugi as manager and legal guardian of the estate and affairs of Lucy Wanjiku Mukami, subject to the applicable 14-day objection period.  

The Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (Cap. 387), Environmental Impact Assessment
NEMA published ESIA reports for proposed developments, including a 270-unit green affordable housing project in Eldoret, a 120-unit residential development in Kiambu and a proposed 615-unit residential development in Eldoret. The public was invited to submit comments within 30 days.  

The Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (Cap. 387), Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Study Report — Invitation of Public Comments 

NEMA invited public comments on the ESIA Study Report for a proposed residential development by Alara Villas Limited on Plot L.R. No. Kiambaa/Kihara 9948 in Kiambaa, Kiambu County. The project comprises two eight-level residential blocks with 120 housing units, parking spaces, stores, recreational facilities and associated amenities. 

Disposal of Uncollected Goods 

Bemac Auctioneers notified the owners of six motor vehicles held at Samy Garage and Storage Yard along Langata Road, Nairobi County, to collect them within 30 days upon payment of outstanding storage and incidental charges. Failure to collect the vehicles within the stipulated period would result in their disposal through public auction to recover the accrued costs. 

Disposal of Uncollected Goods 

Makys Auctioneers notified the public, owners and custodians of unclaimed goods at Premier Auto Garage to collect the items within 30 days upon payment of the applicable publication costs. The goods, comprising a Toyota Ractis shell, Toyota Rumion and assorted scrap metals, would be disposed of through public auction if not collected within the stipulated period.
