The Seeds and Plant Varieties Act (Cap. 326), Applications for Grant of Plant Breeders’ Rights 

The Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development has received applications for plant breeders’ rights covering 69 plant varieties. Breeders, successors in title and other persons with a substantial interest may submit representations or request a hearing within 60 days of the notice. 

The Civil Aviation Act (Cap. 394), Air Service Licence Decisions 

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority grants, renews and varies air service licences for 20 operators, covering international and domestic passenger, cargo and mail services, emergency medical flights, aerial work and flying instruction. The decisions include licences for operators from Kenya, Tanzania, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan, with licence periods ranging from one to three years. 

The Unclaimed Financial Assets Act (Cap. 494), No Objection and Loss of Policy Notices 

The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority publishes claims for unclaimed financial assets made by administrators, agents and original owners, with a 30-day period for objections before payment is made. The Authority also publishes claims involving lost insurance policy documents, supported by sworn affidavits, covering policies issued by various insurers. 

The Water Act (Cap. 372), Approved Regular Tariff for Olkejuado Water and Sewerage Company Limited 

The approved water and sewerage tariff for Olkejuado Water and Sewerage Company Limited applies from 15th July 2026 to 14th July 2027. A 3.24% price adjustment has been approved, against a maximum applicable adjustment of 4.88%, with 93% of the tariff indexed. Other charges and conditions remain unchanged from Gazette Notice No. 7300 of 30th May 2025. 

The Water Act (Cap. 372), Approved Regular Tariff for Kikuyu Water Company Limited 

The approved water and sewerage tariff for Kikuyu Water Company Limited applies from 15th July 2026 to 14th July 2027, with a 3.68% provisional inflation adjustment and 90% of the tariff indexed. Other charges and conditions remain unchanged from Gazette Notice No. 5973 of 17th May 2024. 

The Water Act (Cap. 372), Approved Regular Tariff for Naromoru Water and Sanitation Company Limited 

The approved water and sewerage tariffs for Naromoru Water and Sanitation Company Limited apply from 15th July 2026 to 14th July 2027, with tariffs varying by consumer category and consumption levels. A 4.38% price adjustment has been approved, against a maximum of 4.88%, with 94% of the tariff indexed. Other charges and conditions remain unchanged from Gazette Notice No. 3549 of 21st March 2025. 

The Water Act (Cap. 372), Approved Regular Tariff for Gatamathi Water and Sanitation Company Limited 

The approved water and sewerage tariff for Gatamathi Water and Sanitation Company Limited applies from 15th July 2026 to 14th July 2027, with a 4.16% price adjustment against a maximum applicable adjustment of 4.88% and 77% of the tariff indexed. Other charges and conditions remain unchanged from Gazette Notice No. 5970 of 2024. 

The Water Act (Cap. 372), Revocation of Special Regulatory Regime 

The Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) revokes Gazette Notice No. 6020 of 24th April 2026, lifting the Special Regulatory Regime imposed on Mombasa Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (MOWASSCO) with effect from 21st July 2026. 

The Kenya Information and Communications Act (Cap. 411A), Licence Conditions for Revised Telecommunications Market Structure 

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) publishes licence conditions for five categories under the revised telecommunications market structure: Network Facilities Provider – Tier 2, Network Facilities Provider – Tier 3, Micro Network and Service Provider, Landing Rights Authorization, and International Gateway Systems and Services. The new licence conditions take effect 30 days from the date of the notice. 

The Kenya Information and Communications Act (Cap. 411A), Licence Conditions for Revised Telecommunications Market Structure 

The Communications Authority of Kenya publishes licence conditions for two categories under the revised telecommunications market structure: Public Communications Access Centre and Communications Equipment Vendor. The new licence conditions take effect 30 days from the date of the notice. 

The Standards Act (Cap. 496), Declaration of Kenya Standards 

The National Standards Council declares the specifications and codes of practice listed in the Schedule to be Kenya Standards, effective from the date of publication. 

The Insolvency Act (Cap. 53), Vodacom Business (Kenya) Limited – Final Meeting of Members 

The final general meeting of members of Vodacom Business (Kenya) Limited (in liquidation) will be held virtually on 26th August 2026 at 12:00 p.m. EAT to provide an account of the company’s liquidation. Members are required to confirm attendance by 19th August 2026. 

The Insolvency Act (Cap. 53), Multiple Hauliers (EA) Limited – Appointment of Administrators 

NCBA Bank Kenya PLC appoints Muniu Thoithi and George Weru of PricewaterhouseCoopers Limited as Joint Administrators of Multiple Hauliers (EA) Limited under Section 534 of the Insolvency Act. Creditors are required to submit their claims within 14 days of the notice for inclusion in the company’s creditors’ rolls. 

The Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act (Cap. 59A), Preservation Orders 

The High Court issues preservation orders restraining Dianah Moraa Robert, Edasa Bonded Roots LLP, Shawn Gabriel Mwadime and Wilfred Nyaberi Robert from dealing with four motor vehicles. The orders also require surrender of the vehicles’ logbooks, registration of NTSA caveats, and authorize the Assets Recovery Agency to take control, seize and manage the vehicles pending further proceedings. 

The Human Resource Management Professionals (HRMP) Act (Cap. 538), Election 

An election for a new member of the Human Resource Management Professionals Council representing the Nairobi, Central and North Eastern regions will be held on 7th and 8th September 2026. 

The Co-operative Societies Act (Cap. 490), Appointment of Liquidators (Variation Order) 

The Commissioner for Co-operative Development appoints Anthony K. Mureithi and Gilbert Kirui to conclude the liquidation of Tena Savings and Credit Co-operative Society (in liquidation) for a period not exceeding six (6) months, following the death of the previously appointed liquidator, D. M. Kyule. 

The Co-operative Societies Act (Cap. 490), Appointment of Liquidator (Extension of Variation Order) 

The liquidation period for Kagaa Farmers Co-operative Society (in liquidation) is extended for a further period of six (6) months, with Eliud Njuguna and CPA Pollrose Nyaguthi Gatu appointed to act as liquidators following the inability of Nelson N. Nyaga to continue in the role.

The Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (Cap. 387), ESIA Study Report for Proposed Residential Apartment Development 

NEMA invites public comments on an ESIA report for Ibrahim Adde Group Holdings Limited’s proposed 20-storey residential apartment complex on L.R. No. Nairobi/Block 146/551 in South C, Nairobi County. The development will comprise 106 residential units, two basement parking levels and associated amenities. Members of the public have 30 days from the date of publication to submit comments or objections to NEMA. 

The Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (Cap. 387), ESIA Study Report for Talanta Sports City Stadium and Bomas International Convention Centre 

NEMA invites public comments on an ESIA report for the Kenya Urban Roads Authority’s proposed 18.9 km road network to improve traffic circulation and capacity around Talanta Sports City Stadium and the Bomas International Convention Centre in Nairobi. The project traverses Dagoretti South, Kibra and Lang’ata constituencies, with mitigation measures addressing impacts on vegetation and wildlife. Members of the public have 30 days from the date of publication to submit comments to NEMA. 

The Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (Cap. 387), ESIA Public Participation Notice 

NEMA has invited the public to submit comments on the proposed affordable housing project in Thika, Kiambu County. The full ESIA report is available for inspection at NEMA and the County Director of Environment’s office, with comments to be submitted within 30 days, quoting Ref. No. NEMA/ENVIS/SR/00368. 

The Uncollected Goods Act (Cap. 38), Disposal of Uncollected Motor Vehicle
