The Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation has appointed Gatwiri Kinya Kirimi as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Water Sector Trust Fund for a period of three (3) years, effective 24th July 2026. The appointment of Josephine Eregae has been revoked.

The appointment of Jackson Swadi Kedogo has been revoked.
THE NATIONAL POLICE SERVICE ACT (No. 11A of 2011) PROHIBITION OF POSSESSION OF ARMS IN PARTS OF MARSABIT COUNTY DECLARED SECURITY DISTURBED AND DANGEROUS
The Inspector-General of the National Police Service has prohibited the possession of arms in specified parts of Marsabit County declared security disturbed and dangerous, effective 23rd July 2026. All residents in the affected areas are required to immediately surrender any arms in their possession to the nearest police or government administration office for safe custody, to be returned upon revocation of the notice.
THE WATER ACT (Cap. 372) THE COMPANIES ACT (Cap. 486) THE WATER SERVICES REGULATIONS, 2025 COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF NAIROBI CITY APPOINTMENT
The Governor of Nairobi City County has appointed Raila Taurayi Ernest as a Board Member of the Nairobi City County Water and Sewerage Company for a period of three (3) years, effective 1st July 2026.
THE WATER ACT (Cap. 372) ITARE-LITEIN BULK WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM APPROVED TARIFF STRUCTURE FOR THE PERIOD 2026/2027 TO 2029/2030
The Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) has approved a bulk water tariff of KSh 66 per cubic metre for both Kericho Water and Sanitation Company (KEWASCO) and Bomet Water and Sanitation Company (BOMWASCO) under the Itare-Litein Bulk Water Supply System for the period 2026/2027 to 2029/2030, with a one-month notice to consumers.
THE WATER ACT (Cap. 372) RUKANGA MAKUTANO WATER AND SANITATION COMPANY LIMITED APPROVED TARIFF STRUCTURE FOR THE PERIOD 2026/2027 TO 2028/2029
WASREB has approved an upward tariff review for RUMAWASCO for 2026/2027 to 2028/2029, with a one-month notice. Domestic tariffs range from KSh 55 to KSh 108 per m³, while commercial and institutional users will pay KSh 85 to KSh 108 per m³. The adjustment aims to improve service delivery and ensure sustainability.
THE LEGAL EDUCATION ACT (Cap. 16B) PASSING EXAMINATIONS AND PUPILAGE
The Council of Legal Education has gazetted thirty-four (34) persons who have passed the required examinations and completed pupilage under the Advocates Act. However, the notice clarifies that this does not automatically qualify them for admission as Advocates of the High Court of Kenya, as they must still meet all other eligibility requirements.
THE CROPS ACT (Cap. 318) PROPOSED GRANT OF LICENSES
The Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) has proposed to grant licenses to multiple applicants for coffee exports, imports and value addition, subject to compliance with relevant laws. Members of the public have fourteen (14) days to submit objections, after which compliant applicants may be issued licenses by 28th July 2026.
THE KENYA INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS ACT (Cap. 411A) APPLICATION FOR LICENCES
The Communications Authority of Kenya has received applications for new and renewal licences across courier services, free-to-air TV and radio, and subscription management services, and has invited members of the public to submit any representations or objections within thirty (30) days before a decision is made.
THE PROCEEDS OF CRIME AND ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING ACT (Cap. 59A) FORFEITURE
The High Court has ordered the forfeiture of assets belonging to Moses Nanoka Egadwa after determining they are proceeds of crime, including two parcels of land in Kwale, a Nissan Hardbody pickup (registration KAP 797G), and KSh 3,579,616.05 held in an ABSA Bank account, all of which are to be transferred to the State through the Assets Recovery Agency.
THE PROCEEDS OF CRIME AND ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING ACT (Cap. 59A) FORFEITURE
The High Court has ordered the forfeiture of KSh 14,679,139.65 (plus accrued interest) held in an I&M Bank account belonging to Birus Chambers Advocates & Solicitors LLP, having determined the funds are proceeds of crime, and directed that the amount be transferred to the Criminal Asset Recovery Fund.
THE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT (Cap. 490) INQUIRY ORDER
The Commissioner for Co-operative Development has ordered an inquiry into Uwepo Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Limited (CS/7779) to examine its by-laws, financial and operational status, management conduct, and governance structures, with appointed officers required to conduct the inquiry within fourteen (14) days.
THE LABOUR RELATIONS ACT (Cap. 233) KENYA UNION OF DOMESTIC, HOTELS, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND HOSPITAL WORKERS (KUDHEIHA) AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION
The Kenya Union of Domestic, Hotels, Educational Institutions and Hospital Workers (KUDHEIHA) has proposed amendments to its Constitution and Rules, and members have twenty-one (21) days to submit any objections in writing.
THE TRANSFER OF BUSINESSES ACT (Cap. 500) BUSINESS TRANSFER
Notice has been given that the ownership and management of Urafiki Carovana School in Nairobi will be transferred to new trustees within two (2) months, with all existing liabilities remaining with the current trustees and not passing to the new owners.
