In the Kenya Gazette dated 22nd May 2026, adds Sophia Waithera Muhuri to be a Member of the Standing Committee on Geographical Names for a period of three (3) years.

The Competition Act (Cap. 504), Exemption Application by Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association, Application For Exemption

The Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) has invited public comments on an application by the Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association (KIFWA) seeking a five-year exemption under the Competition Act to implement minimum pricing guidelines for clearing and forwarding services. If approved, the guidelines would establish indicative minimum charges for licensed clearing and forwarding agents nationwide. Interested parties have 30 days from the notice’s publication to submit their views to the Authority.

The Environmental Management and Co-Ordination Act (Cap. 387), Analytical and Reference Laboratories

The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has designated 31 analytical and reference laboratories under the Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act to undertake accredited environmental testing and analysis. The approved laboratories are authorised to conduct assessments in areas including water and effluent quality, air quality, noise, stack emissions, soil, and microbiological analysis, supporting environmental compliance and monitoring across the country.

The Political Parties Act (Cap. 7D), Full Registration of a Political Party

The Registrar of Political Parties has granted full registration to the United Patriotic Movement (UPM) under the Political Parties Act. The party will operate under the slogan “Stability and Prosperity”, with its headquarters in Kitengela, Kajiado County, and is now officially recognised as a registered political party in Kenya.

The Registrar of Political Parties has published applications for the provisional registration of two political parties namely the Social Democratic Party of Kenya (SDP) and the People’s Alternative Voice (PAV). Members of the public have seven days from the date of publication to submit any written objections or representations regarding the applications.

The Registrar of Political Parties has published a notice of the United Democratic Party’s intention to change its Party Leader from Shiakhalaga Khwa to Mukasa Mwambu Muliro. The Assets Recovery Agency (ARA) has obtained High Court preservation orders freezing a Toyota Vitz (Registration No. KCZ 917V) linked to Emmanuel Folorunso Ojo and Faith Chepngeno Maturu under the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act. The orders prohibit any transfer or disposal of the vehicle pending further proceedings.

ZYDII Limited has been placed under creditors’ voluntary liquidation following a special resolution passed by its members on 16 June 2026. Mohamed A. Mohamed of Maawiy Financial Advisory Services was subsequently appointed as the company’s liquidator by creditors on 30 June 2026.

The Environmental Management And Co-Ordination Act (Cap. 387), Invitation To The Public Comments On The Draft Strategic Environmental And Social Assessment Report For The Kenya Marine Spatial Plan

The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has published the Draft Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment (SESA) for Kenya’s proposed Marine Spatial Plan (2025–2045), which will guide sustainable use and conservation of marine resources across Kenya’s coastal and offshore waters. The draft outlines zoning for conservation, fisheries, tourism, transport, renewable energy and multi-use areas, alongside measures to mitigate environmental and social impacts. NEMA has invited the public to inspect the report and submit comments within 30 working days before the plan is finalized

The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has invited public comments on an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Study Report for the proposed installation and operation of a high-speed optic fibre cable network along the Isiolo–Mandera Road. The project, led by the ICT Authority, will connect 341 government institutions, schools, health facilities, TVETs and community centres across five counties. Members of the public have 30 days to review the report and submit comments before NEMA makes its decision

Kerati Auctioneers has issued a 30-day notice for owners to claim uncollected vehicles and motorcycles held at Nyamarambe Police Station. Any unclaimed items will be sold by public auction in accordance with the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act.
