The National Land Commission intends to compulsorily acquire six parcels of land in Kajiado County on behalf of the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) for the Ngong–Kiserian–Isinya and Kajiado–Imaroro Roads Project, with details of subsequent inquiries to be published in the Kenya Gazette.

THE LAND ACT (Cap. 280) CONSTRUCTION OF A SOLAR FARM AND WATER TREATMENT WORKS IN WOTE

The National Land Commission will hold an inquiry on 16th September 2026 at the Wote Location Chief’s Office regarding the compulsory acquisition of parcel Makueni/Unoa/8594 for construction of a solar farm and water treatment works in Wote, covering the proposed acquisition, compensation and related claims.

The National Land Commission intends to compulsorily acquire several land parcels in Kiambu County on behalf of the Athi Water Works Development Agency for the Thika Water and Sanitation Project, with details of compensation inquiries to be published separately in the Kenya Gazette.

The National Land Commission has amended the land acquisition details for a proposed wastewater treatment plant in Murang’a County, replacing L.R. No. 12158 with L.R. No. 12158/3, a 21.7-hectare parcel registered to Del Monte Kenya Limited.

The National Land Commission will hold an inquiry on 16th September 2026 at Methi Chief’s Camp regarding the compulsory acquisition of L.R. No. 12158/3, owned by Del Monte Kenya Limited, for construction of a wastewater treatment plant in Murang’a County.

The County Government of Trans Nzoia has published its County Assembly Exchequer Disbursement Schedule for FY 2026/27, providing for total disbursements of KSh 782.68 million, comprising KSh 663.68 million for recurrent expenditure and KSh 119 million for development expenditure.

The County Government of Nandi has appointed Irene Chepchumba Biwot and Linet Jerobon as Members of the Board of Kapsabet Nandi Water and Sanitation Company Limited (KANAWASCO) for a three-year term effective 1st March 2026.

The County Government of Wajir has completed a Part Development Plan to formalise an existing agricultural plot in Wajir Municipality. The plan is open for public inspection, with representations or objections to be submitted within 60 days.

A Part Development Plan for existing Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited sites in Baragoi Town, Samburu County, has been completed and opened for public inspection. Interested persons may submit representations or objections within 60 days of publication.

The County Government of Kericho intends to prepare a Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan covering Kericho CBD, Kapsuser, Kapsoit, Kapkugerwet and adjoining agricultural areas to guide zoning and sustainable urban growth. Public comments are invited by 27th August 2026.

The County Government of Isiolo has completed six Part Development Plans for the regularisation of existing residential plots within Isiolo Municipality. The plans are open for public inspection, with representations or objections to be submitted within 60 days of publication.
