Governor Simon Kachapin Kitalei has appointed James Prosso Akudian as Chairperson, and James Loyatem, Emilly Chepoghisyo, and David Yator Kiptum as Members of the West Pokot County Public Service Board for a six-year non-renewable term, effective 25th September 2026. 

The County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet completed Part Development Plans on 16th September 2026 for the formalization of existing sites for the Iten Affordable Housing Project Phase I and Phase II within Iten Municipality, with representations or objections to be submitted within 60 days.

The County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet completed Part Development Plans on 16th September 2026 for the formalization of existing sites for the Iten Affordable Housing Project Phase I and Phase II within Iten Municipality, with representations or objections to be submitted within 60 days. 

The National Land Commission intends to correct, delete and acquire specified land parcels on behalf of Kenya Railways Corporation for Phase 2A of the SGR Project in Kajiado County. 

THE LAND ACT (Cap. 280) INQUIRY INTO PROPOSED COMPULSORY ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR NAIROBI–NAIVASHA STANDARD GAUGE RAILWAY PROJECT (PHASE 2A) 

The National Land Commission will hold inquiries on 19th November 2026 at Scheme 6 Kandisi Chief’s Office regarding the supplementary compulsory acquisition of land in Kajiado County for Phase 2A of the SGR Project. 

The National Land Commission intends to delete, correct and acquire specified land parcels on behalf of KeRRA for the construction of the Toku Bridge and Approach Roads Project in Migori County. 

THE LAND ACT (Cap. 280) INQUIRY INTO PROPOSED COMPULSORY ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR TOKU BRIDGE AND APPROACH ROADS PROJECT 

The National Land Commission will hold inquiries on 16th November 2026 at Kitere Chief’s Office regarding the compulsory acquisition of land in Migori County for the Toku Bridge and Approach Roads Project. 

The National Land Commission intends to delete, correct and acquire specified land parcels on behalf of KeRRA for the construction of the Gatiiguru–Ithanga–Gakungu and Gakungu–Kamahuha–Mbombo Road Project in Kiambu County. Inquiries on the affected land will be published separately. 

THE LAND ACT (Cap. 280) INQUIRY INTO PROPOSED COMPULSORY ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR GATIIGURU–ITHANGA–GAKUNGU AND GAKUNGU–KAMAHUHA–MBOMBO ROAD PROJECT

THE LAND ACT (Cap. 280) CONSTRUCTION OF GATUNDU WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE PROJECT INTENTION TO COMPULSORY ACQUIRE LAND (Addendum) 

The National Land Commission intends to acquire parcel Kiganjo/Handege/1152 on behalf of Athi Water Works Development Agency for the construction of the Gatundu Water Supply Project in Kiambu County. Inquiries will be published separately.
