Mombasa   County Governments Act – Naming of Public Roads:  

Mombasa County has renamed five public roads in honour of prominent figures who contributed to the county’s political, social and economic development. The roads are Ramadhan Seif Kajembe Road, Masoud Mwahima Road, Major General Aboud Abdalla Rafrouf Road, Ahmed Shahame Mwidani Road and Hasmukh Patel Road. 

 

Physical and Land Use Planning Act – Local Development Plans: Mombasa County intends to prepare local physical and land-use development plans for the regularisation of Vikobani, Miritini 1134, Cheleng’a, Bombo-Maziwani, Owino Uhuru, Shanzu Triangle and Kadzonzo informal settlements. The plans are intended to improve land-tenure security, regulate development and facilitate access to basic infrastructure and services. 
Restriction of Heavy Goods Vehicles: Mombasa County has restricted heavy commercial vehicles exceeding 10 tonnes from specified Northern Mainland roads during peak hours from 14 August to 13 November 2026. 
Nairobi  Green Nairobi Limited: The Governor has appointed a seven-member Board of Directors for Green Nairobi Limited for a three-year term, with Dr. Isaac Kalua appointed Chairperson. 

 

  Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company: Agnes Mumbi Ngaru has been re-appointed to the company’s Board of Directors for a three-year term. 
Homabay  County Assembly Special Sitting: The Assembly will consider nominations for Deputy Governor and two County Executive Committee Member positions. 
Baringo  County Irrigation Development Unit: Baringo has appointed a nine-member County Irrigation Development Unit for a three-year term to coordinate irrigation development, support farmers and promote sustainable water manageme 
Elgeiyo Marakwet  County Public Service Board Annual Report: The Board reported that it recruited 91 officers and promoted 613 employees during 2024/2025, while identifying funding constraints, staffing shortages and the high wage bill as key challenges 
Migori   Part Development Plans: The County has completed plans for the proposed Rongo University–Sori Campus in Nyatike and Commercial Plot No. 918 in Awendo Town. Public comments and objections are invited within 60 days 
Machakos  Part Development Plans: The County has prepared development plans covering public infrastructure and services in Machakos Municipality and Kathiani Market, including administrative, industrial, transport, education, health, security and recreational facilities 
Kakamega  County Assembly Special Sitting: The Assembly will consider nominees to the Matunda, Malava and Butere Municipality Boards and a motion concerning alleged non-payment of salaries and employment benefits to workers engaged by Papaton Security Services. 
Kwale  Hospital Boards: Kwale has appointed chairpersons and members to the boards of Msambweni County Referral Hospital, Kwale, Kinango, Samburu and Lungalunga Sub-County Hospitals for three-year terms 
Nandi  County Assembly Appointment: Henry Kipkorir Tarus has been appointed to act as Clerk and Secretary to the Nandi County Assembly Service Board while the substantive Clerk is on terminal leave, effective 14 August 2026 
Muranga  Kathangi Estate Zoning Plan: The County has completed the Kathangi Estate Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan–Zoning Plan (2025–2035), with the public invited to submit representations or objections within 60 days 
Isiolo  Part Development Plans: Isiolo has completed several Part Development Plans covering residential development and regularisation of sites within Isiolo Municipality. Public objections are invited within 60 days 
Kisumu  County Physical and Land Use Development Plan: Kisumu intends to prepare a GIS-based County Physical and Land Use Development Plan for 2026–2036 to guide development, infrastructure, service delivery, natural-resource management, environmental protection and transport 
Nakuru  Local Development Plans: Nakuru has completed Local Physical and Land Use Development Plans for Banita, Mutaita and Kiptagich Trading Centres, with public inspection and a 60-day period for objections and representations 
Turkana  Classification of Public Health Facilities: Turkana has classified its public health facilities according to Kenya Essential Package for Health levels to guide planning, budgeting, management and health-service delivery 
Siaya  Water Tariffs: WASREB has approved the 2026/2027 tariff structure for SIBO Water and Sanitation Company, representing a 4.09% tariff adjustment 
Nyandarua  Water Tariffs: WASREB has approved the 2026/2027 tariff structure for Nyahururu Water and Sanitation Company, representing a 4.25% adjustment. 
Nyeri  Water Tariffs: WASREB has approved the 2026/2027 tariff structure for Mathira Water and Sanitation Company, representing a 4.46% adjustment 
Kisii  Water Tariffs: WASREB has approved an upward tariff review for Kisii Water and Sanitation PLC for 2026/2027–2028/2029 following public consultation, aimed at improving service delivery and financial sustainability 
Narok  Water Tariffs: WASREB has approved an upward tariff adjustment for NARWASSCO for 2026/2027–2028/2029 following public consultation to improve service delivery and sustainability 
Uasin Gishu  ELDOWAS Tariffs: WASREB has revoked the previous ELDOWAS tariff structure and approved revised tariffs for the remaining 2026/2027–2028/2029 period following a review and Water Tribunal proceedings.
