County  Notice 
Nairobi  Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Notices, National Environment Management Authority  

NEMA invites public comments on multiple projects including:  

  • 20-storey mixed-use development in Kilimani, Nairobi.  
  • Residential apartment development in Mutuini, Nairobi by International Housing Solutions.  
  • Proposed wildlife sanctuary at Tatu City by Tatu City Limited. 

All EIAs identify environmental risks and mitigation measures, with public comments invited within 30 days.   

Kilifi  Kilifi County Planning Liaison Committee Appointments 

The county appointed members to the Physical and Land Use Planning Liaison Committee, including representatives from the Law Society of KenyaNational Land Commission, and Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

 

Uasin Gishu  Completion of Part Development Plans  

The County Government confirmed completion of development plans for sites in Sugoi Township and Mwanzo–Turbo Sub-county. The plans are available for public inspection at the county physical planning office. Objections or representations may be submitted within 60 days. 

Appointment to Uasin Gishu Rural Water and Sanitation Company 

The Governor of Uasin Gishu has appointed Pius Kipkorir Kigen as Chairperson of URWASCO for a three-year term, effective 10 February 2026, replacing Paul Murgor. 

 

Eldoret 

 

Appointment to the City of Eldoret Board 

Several individuals, including Edward SaweSammy Bor, and others, have been appointed to the Eldoret City Board. The appointments are made under the Urban Areas and Cities (Amendment) Act. 

 

Isiolo  Completion of Development Plans – Isiolo Municipality 

Two development plans relating to a residential plot and regularization of land for the Presbyterian Church of East Africa have been completed. Draft plans are available for public inspection, and objections may be submitted within 60 days of the notice. 

 

Wajir  Local Physical and Land Use Planning – Wajir Municipality 

The County Government intends to prepare the Wajir Municipality Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan starting 30 January 2026. The plan aims to guide infrastructure, land use, and socio-economic development, promote environmental sustainability, strengthen climate resilience, preserve cultural heritage, and accommodate future population growth. Public comments are invited until 2 March 2026. 

 

Bomet  Gazettement of Health Facilities – Bomet County 

The County Executive Committee Member for Health Services has formally gazetted health facilities under constitutional and statutory provisions to support devolved healthcare service delivery within Bomet County. 

 

Nyandarua  Nyandarua County Assembly Legislative Calendar 2026 

The Assembly has approved its Fifth Session Legislative Calendar for 2026, following a resolution adopted on 10th February 2026, outlining sittings and legislative business for the year. 

 

Makueni  Makueni County Public Service Board Appointment 

The Governor of Makueni County has appointed Josephine Mbenya MwauZebedee Mwandi, and Deborah Mutheu Kyalo as part-time board members for a non-renewable six (6) year term, effective 12th February 2026. 

 

Mombasa  Intergovernmental Partnership on Bursaries and Scholarships
Ministry of Education and County Government of Mombasa The National Government and the County Government of Mombasa have entered into an intergovernmental agreement to facilitate bursary and scholarship issuance across education levels. The partnership aims to enhance transparency, resource-sharing, and equitable access to education. The agreement took effect on 1st June 2025 and may be amended through mutual consent. 

 

Disposal of Health Records Notice, Mombasa Hospital Association 

The Mombasa Hospital Association has issued notice of its intention to dispose of and destroy various medical and administrative records from 2015, including patient files, laboratory reports, and financial records. Claims regarding the records must be made within one (1) month of the notice, failing which the records will be destroyed. 

 

Mandera  Reservation of Public Land, National Land Commission & Ministry of Defence  

Gazette Notice No. 1903 reserves land parcel L.R. No. 33285, measuring approximately 4,882.3 hectares in Mandera County, for use by the Ministry of Defence. The reservation grants the Ministry care, control, and management authority over the land pursuant to the Land Act and Land Registration Act.
