| Kiambu | Municipal Developments
The Kiambu County Government has announced the membership of municipal boards across various municipalities, including Kikuyu, Kabete, Lari, Limuru, Karuri, Kiambu, Ruiru, Githurai, Thika, Juja, Githunguri, and Gatundu. Each municipality has a board consisting of seven members, with a designated chairperson overseeing operations. These boards are tasked with governance and development oversight within their respective jurisdictions. County Government Appointments The Governor of Kiambu County, Dr. Paul Kimani Wamatangi, has appointed ward representatives to the Kiambu County Alcoholic Drinks Control Regulatory Committees. The appointments, covering sub-counties such as Ruiru, Juja, Gatundu South, Thika, and Limuru, will be in effect for a period not exceeding three years, pending the full constitution of ward committees. | Baringo | Transfer of municipal functions
Baringo County has taken a significant step in urban governance by transferring several municipal functions to the Kabarnet Municipality. Under this directive, the municipality will oversee refuse collection, sanitation, road maintenance, drainage construction, street lighting, and fire-fighting services, among other essential urban management duties. |

Environmental Impact Assessment Study ReportThe National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Study Report for the proposed residential development on Plot Nairobi/Block 19/263, along George Padmore Road, Kilimani, Nairobi County.The proponent, ZCGC Developers Limited, plans to construct two 21-floor residential blocks with 120 units (three, four, and five-bedroom), six shops, 283 parking spaces, a swimming pool, playground, gym, and other amenities. The public has 30 days to submit comments to NEMA for consideration in decision-making. |
