MAKUENI  The Urban Areas and Cities Act (Cap. 275), Grant of Wote Municipal Charter 

The Governor of Makueni County confirms the conferment of municipal status on Wote Town through the grant of a Municipal Charter dated 29th June 2018, pursuant to a resolution of the Makueni County Assembly and Section 9 of the Urban Areas and Cities Act. 

The Urban Areas and Cities Act (Cap. 275), Grant of Emali-Sultan Hamud Municipal Charter 

The Governor of Makueni County confirms the conferment of municipal status on Emali-Sultan Hamud through the grant of a Municipal Charter dated 20th December 2022, pursuant to a resolution of the Makueni County Assembly and Section 9 of the Urban Areas and Cities Act. 

The Urban Areas and Cities Act (Cap. 275), Grant of Mbooni-Kee Municipal Charter 

The Governor of Makueni County confirms the conferment of municipal status on Mbooni-Kee through the grant of a Municipal Charter dated 31st July 2025, pursuant to a resolution of the Makueni County Assembly and Section 9 of the Urban Areas and Cities Act. 

KISUMU  The County Governments Act (Cap. 265), Appointment 

The Governor of Kisumu County appoints members to the boards of Kisumu County Referral Hospital, Victoria Sub-County Hospital, Kombewa Sub-County Hospital and Lumumba Sub-County Hospital for three-year terms. The appointment of Antony Ochieng Okew to the Lumumba Sub-County Hospital Board is revoked after serving more than two terms. 

NYAMIRA  The County Governments Act (Cap. 265), Appointment 

The Governor of Nyamira County appoints Felister Moige Samuel as a Member of the Nyamira County Public Service Board for a six-year term, effective 1st July 2026, following approval by the Nyamira County Assembly. 

HOMABAY  The County Governments Act (Cap. 265), Appointment 

The Governor of Homa Bay County appoints Isaac Victor Ongiri as County Executive Committee Member for Governance, Administration, Communication and Devolution, and Elijah Obiny Dede as County Executive Committee Member for Trade, Industry, Tourism, Investments, Marketing and Co-operatives Development, following approval by the Homa Bay County Assembly. 

BUSIA  The Public Finance Management Act, 2012, Busia County Assembly Exchequer Disbursement Schedule 

The Busia County Government publishes the FY 2026/2027 Exchequer Disbursement Schedule for the County Assembly, providing for KSh 899.6 million in total disbursements, comprising KSh 869.6 million for recurrent expenditure and KSh 30 million for development expenditure. 

GARISSA   The Garissa County Water Management Act, 2018, Appointment 

The County Executive Committee Member for Water, Environment and Natural Resources appoints Fatuma Abdi Mohamed, Fatuma Aden Omar, Feisal Abdi Gure and Meimuna Mohamed Abdi as Members of the Board of Dadaab Water and Sewerage Company for a period of three (3) years, effective 10th July 2026. 

ELGEYO/ MARAKWET  The Physical and Land Use Planning Act (Cap. 303), Completion of Local Physical and Land Use Development Plans 

The County Government of Elgeyo/Marakwet announces the completion of six Local Physical and Land Use Development Plans for Singore, Kapyego, Bungwet, Anin, Tabare and Kipsaos. The plans are available for public inspection, with interested persons given 60 days to submit representations or objections. 

TAITA TAVETA  The County Governments Act (Cap. 265), Appointment of County Executive Committee Members 

The Governor of Taita Taveta County, Andrew Mwadime, has appointed Dishon K. Mwanzige Mngoda as the County Executive Committee Member for Education, Libraries and Vocational Training Centres, and Alfred Mwadime Mlolwa as the CEC Member for Health Services, following approval by the County Assembly. 

MURANG’A  The Physical and Land Use Planning Act (Cap. 303), Completion of Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan 

Murang’a County has completed the Kathangi Estate Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan–Zoning Plan (2025–2035). The plan is available for public inspection at designated county offices, with interested persons given 60 days to submit representations or objections to the County Director in charge of Physical and Land Use Planning.
