The State Corporations Act – Revocation of Appointment and Appointment

  • H.E. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, revoked the appointment of Charles Muriuki Njagagua as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Consolidated Bank of Kenya Limited, with effect from the 3rd October 2025.
  • The Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning appointed Kennedy Ntabo Otiso (Prof.), Edward Kiplimo Bittok, and George Mokua to be Members of the Board of Directors of the Consolidated Bank of Kenya Limited, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 3rd October, 2025. The appointments of Kenneth Gatheru Gatiithi, Harun Kipkemei Mosop and Jedidah Karwitha Mwiti are revoked.

The National Police Service Act – Designation of Police Stations

  • The Inspector-General of the National Police Service designated 92 establishments as Police Stations across various sub-counties.

The Constitution of Kenya – Intergovernmental Partnership Agreement

  • The County Government of Makueni entered into an Intergovernmental Partnership Agreement with the Ministry of Education for the issuance of bursaries and scholarships within Makueni County on 19th May, 2025. A copy of the agreement is available for inspection at the office of the County Executive Committee Member, ICT, Education and Internship.

The County Governments Act – Appointment of Selection Panel

  • The Governor of Bungoma County appointed CS Elizabeth Wanyonyi, Saul Wasilwa, CPA Rita Nabalayo Manyonge, Chemonges Stephen, and Julius Bakasa to be Members of the Selection Panel for the Recruitment of Nominees for appointment as Members of the Bungoma County Public Service Board, effective from 11th September 2025.

The Land Act – Intention to Acquire Land

  • The National Land Commission, on behalf of Kenya National Highways Authority, gave notice of intention to acquire parcels of land for the reconstruction of Mamboleo-Miwani-Chemelil-Muhoroni-Kipsitet Road (B132) Lot 1: Mamboleo Junction (A1) – Miwani Section in Kisumu County.
  • The National Land Commission, on behalf of Athi Water Works Development Agency, published addendum and inquiry notices for the Machakos Sanitation Project, adding two parcels of land. An inquiry to hear claims to compensation will be held on 4th November 2025 at Kimutwa Chief’s Office.
  • The National Land Commission published deletion, addendum and inquiry notices for the construction of Raw and Treated Water Gravity Mains from Thika Dam to Kigoro Treatment Plant to Gigiri Tanks, with inquiries scheduled at Rwegetha, Ituru and Kimunyu Chief’s Camps in October 2025.
  • The National Land Commission published corrigendum and inquiry notices for the Karimenu II Dam Water Supply Project, with an inquiry scheduled at Kiriko Coffee Factory on 30th October, 2025.
  • The National Land Commission published deletion, corrigendum and addendum notices for the Nairobi-Naivasha Standard Gauge Railway Project (Phase 2A) supplementary land acquisition in Kajiado and Nakuru Counties.
  • The National Land Commission published inquiry notices for the Nairobi-Naivasha SGR Project (Phase 2A) supplementary land acquisition, with inquiries scheduled at Scheme 6 Chief’s Office and Maai Mahiu Chief’s Office on 21st and 22nd October, 2025.
  • The National Land Commission published addendum and inquiry notices for the construction of Kwale-Kinango (B92) Road, with inquiries scheduled at Dumbule Chief’s Office from 22nd to 24th October, 2025.

Customs and Border Control Department – List of Overstayed Goods

  • The Commissioner of Customs and Border Control published a list of overstayed goods at Inland Container Depot, Nairobi. Unless the goods are entered and removed within thirty (30) days, they will be sold by public auction on 10th-14th November, 2025 through an online portal https://ibid.kra.go.ke. Interested buyers may view goods on 6th-7th November 2025.

The Kenya Information and Communications Act – Application for Licences

  • The Communications Authority of Kenya announced licence applications for National Postal and Courier Operator licences from six companies. The public has 30 days from 12th September 2025 to make representations or objections.

The Insurance Act – Approval of Transfer of General Insurance Business

  • The Insurance Regulatory Authority approved the transfer of the general insurance business of Sanlam General Insurance Limited (transferor) to Jubilee Allianz General Insurance (K) Limited (transferee) on 26th September 2025.

The Co-operative Societies Act – Appointment of Liquidator and Inquiry Order

  • The Commissioner for Co-operative Development extended the period of liquidation for Hunters Profile Sacco Society (in liquidation) Limited (CS/12546) for six (6) months and appointed Davis Murithi Kathurima as liquidator on 4th September, 2025.
  • The Commissioner for Co-operative Development authorised an inquiry into Qona Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Limited (CS/9510) to examine its by-laws, working and financial conditions, and conduct of the present or past management committee.

The Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act – Environmental Impact Assessment Study Reports

  • The National Environment Management Authority invited public comments on three Environmental Impact Assessment Study Reports:
    1. Proposed installation of a solid waste incinerator at Kambi Somali, Industrial Area, Eldoret Municipality, Uasin Gishu County by Wasteworx Innovations Limited
    2. Proposed establishment of serviced apartments on Plot L.R No. Nairobi/Block 4/585 and 586 along Chameleon Avenue, Westlands, Nairobi by Grandfar Company Limited
    3. Proposed Runyenjes Sewerage Project designed for 3,000m³/day in Embu County by Tana Water Works Development Agency

The public has thirty (30) days from publication to submit comments.

The Records Disposal (Courts) Rules – Intended Destruction of Court Records

  • The Employment and Labour Relations Court, Nairobi intends to destroy Claims records from 2010 and 2011 after three months from 19th September, 2025.
  • The Milimani High Court Civil Division, Nairobi intends to destroy Miscellaneous Civil Cases (1974-2010) and Civil Cases (1961-1989) after three months from 25th August, 2025.
  • The High Court Criminal Division at Milimani Law Courts intends to destroy Revision Cases from 2000-2010 after three months from 19th September, 2025.
