The Civil Procedure Act

  • Chief Justice Martha K. Koome has established an Environment and Land Court Sub-registry, Bomet Law Courts at Bomet County, with effect from the 1st of July 2025.

 

The Constitution of Kenya

  • Chief Justice Martha K. Koome has issued the Practice Directions to Standardise Practice and Procedures in the Environment and Land Court, 2025.
  • Speaker of the Senate, Amason Jeffah Kingi, has notified all Senators that Thursday, the 27th of March, 2025 has been appointed as a day for a special sitting of the Senate. The special sitting shall be held in the Senate Chamber, Main Parliament Buildings, Nairobi, commencing at 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to the conclusion of the business of the day.

 

The Employment and Labour Relations Court Act – Appointments

  • Chief Justice Martha K. Koome has appointed Ann Mboo Thiongo, Mwanamaka Amani Mabruki, Clifton Saya, and Mohammed Wanzetse Odongo to be members of the Employment and Labour Relations Rules Committee, for a period of five (5) years, with effect from the 21st March, 2025. 

 

The Civil Aviation Act.

  • Notice is given that several parties applied for various air service licences. Any representation in favour of or against any application should be made in writing to the Director-General, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, P.O. Box 30163–00100, Nairobi so as to reach the Authority within twenty-one (21) days from 21st March 2025.

 

Kenya Revenue Authority.

  • Notice is given that several overstayed goods will be treated as abandoned and will be disposed of in accordance with the provisions of EACCMA, 2004, including being sold by public auction unless the listed goods are entered and removed from the custody of the Customs Warehouse Keeper, Inland Container Depot, Nairobi, within thirty (30) days from 21st March 2025.

 

The Estate Agents Act.

  • Notice is given that several registered estate agents have renewed their Annual Practicing Certificates as at 14th March, 2025 and are, therefore, sanctioned by the Estate Agents Registration Board to practice as estate agents.

 

The Valuers Act.

  • The Valuers Registration Board has listed the Registered Valuers for the year 2025.

 

The Political Parties Act.

  • The Registrar of Political Parties gives the following notices; 
  1. The Economic Freedom Party (EFP) intends to make changes to its party constitution and party officials. 
  2. Vibrant Democratic Party (VDP) intends to change its party National Treasurer to Marypia Auma Awiti. 

Any person with written submissions concerning the intended changes by the political parties shall within seven (7) days from March 21st 2025 make their written submissions to the Registrar of Political Parties.
