The Private Security Regulation Act, Re-Appointment
Adiel Nyange has been re-appointed as Chairperson of the Private Security Regulatory Authority for a three-year term, effective 7th February 2025.

 

The Legal Education Act, Appointment
The Judicial Service Commission has appointed Juliana Wamaitha Njiriri as Chairperson of the Legal Education Appeals Tribunal. Other members include Munoko Moses Sitati, Felix Otieno Oketch, Yatani Godana, and Ngulu Joshua Mbinda, for a three-year term effective 28th January 2025.

 

The High Court (Organization and Administration) Act, Establishment of Civil Appellate Division
A Civil Appellate Division of the High Court has been established at Milimani Law Courts, effective 10th February 2025.

 

The Kenya Defence Forces Act, Appointment
The Defence Council has appointed Brig. (Rtd.) J. O. Maroko as Chairperson of the Kenya Defence Forces Pension Assessment Committee, alongside Brig. (Rtd.) B. K. Mwololo, Dr. L. G. Nzavi, Col. S. C. Yator, Dr. Robert Maweu Mutula, and Patricia Njau (Secretary), for a three-year term effective 7th February 2025.

 

The Industrial Training Act, Appointment
Rev. Joel K. Chebii has been appointed to the National Industrial Training Board for a three-year term, effective 7th February 2025.

 

The Public Finance Management Act, Ministerial Audit Committee
Hannah Nyambura Ndungu has been appointed Chairperson of the Ministry of Environment’s Ministerial Audit Committee. Other members include Patrick Mutisya Mbithi, Dorothy Chepngetich, Ololchike Spenser Sankale, Timothy Munyole, and John Kariuki (Secretary), for a three-year term effective 7th February 2025.

 

The Hydrologists Act, Appointment

Jael Jepchumba Kugun and Samuel Gitonga Mbui have been appointed to the Hydrologists Registration Board, effective 7th February 2025. Gazette Notice No. 8021 of 2022 is revoked.

 

The Survey Act, Appointment

The Cabinet Secretary for Lands has appointed Daniel Maina Mukiri, Dr. David Nyangau Siriba, Kombo Mwero, Christopher Kinyua Tiras, Erastus Chege Mwangi, and Fredrick Ouma Oduor to the Land Surveyors’ Board for a two-year term effective 7th February 2025.

 

Practice Directions for Gender Justice Cases, 2024

The Chief Justice has issued Practice Directions for the Management of Gender Justice Cases, 2024 under the Magistrate’s Courts Act, Judicature Act, and Judicial Service Act to enhance the handling of gender justice cases within the Judiciary.The notice highlights designation of the courts,pretrial trial procedures and special considerations.

 

Unclaimed Financial Assets – No Objection Notice

The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority has received claims for unclaimed assets from individuals acting as administrators of estates of deceased persons and agents of original owners.If no objection is lodged at the Authority’s offices within 30 days from the date of this notice, payment will be processed to the listed claimants.

Change of Political Party Particulars – Shirikisho Party of Kenya

The Registrar of Political Parties gives notice that the Shirikisho Party of Kenya intends to change its party particulars as follows:

  • Change of Physical Location of Head Office: The party’s head office has been relocated within Express Building, Kilindini Road, Mombasa from the Third Floor to the First Floor.
  • Change of Party Officials: Several leadership positions, including Deputy Chairperson, Deputy Treasurer, Organizing Secretary, and Secretary for Legal Affairs, have been updated.

Any person with written submissions concerning the intended changes shall submit them to the Registrar of Political Parties within 7days from the date of this notice.

Records Disposal Notice

The High Court of Kenya at Meru intends to seek approval for the destruction of court records, including High Court Civil Appeals and Civil Cases from 1990 to 2004. Similarly, the Principal Magistrate’s Court at Karatina plans to dispose of Traffic Proceedings from 2019 to 2020 and Criminal Miscellaneous Proceedings from 2005 to 2020. Meanwhile, the Principal Magistrate’s Court at Marimanti is set to destroy 7,460 criminal records dating from 2000 to 2014, along with 467 traffic records from 2001 to 2013.

 

Disposal of Uncollected Goods

Fancy Friends Auctioneers is notifying owners of uncollected motor vehicles stored at Mugaa Juakali Association to claim them within 30 days upon payment of outstanding storage charges. The vehicles include Toyota, Mitsubishi, Kia, and a Tuk-tuk. Any unclaimed items will be auctioned.Similarly, Tamfeeds Ltd (Chungamali Self Storage) urges owners of assorted office and household furniture stored in Lockers E7, C8, and A6 to settle outstanding dues and collect their items within 30 days. Failure to do so will result in the goods being sold via auction or private treaty.
