  • SMART Sacco Society Limited and Multiple Sacco Society Limited whose authorisation expired was revoked and prohibited from undertaking any further regulated sacco business in Kenya .

FERTILIZER MARKET INQUIRY

The Competition Authority of Kenya in support of the East Africa Community Competition Authority intends to carry out a market inquiry into the fertilizer markets in Kenya.

The overall objective of the market inquiry is to assess the state of competition in the fertilizer sector within the East African Community.

NATIONAL OIL CORPORATION OF KENYA LIMITED AND RUBIS ENERGY KENYA LIMITED EXEMPTION

The Competition Authority of Kenya has granted an exemption with respect to various clauses of the proposed non-equity Strategic Business Partnership between the National Oil Corporation of Kenya Limited (NOC) and Rubis Energy Kenya Limited (Rubis), for a period of five (5) years.

These exemptions cover the Clauses on Structure of the non-equity Strategic Partnership; Rubis’ Roles and Responsibilities; Establishment of a Joint Implementation Committee; Deployment of the ERP System; Business Growth, Development and Marketing Support; Management

Support, Capacity Building and Development; Fuel Card; NOC Brand; and Information Rights.

THE TEACHERS SERVICE COMMISSION ACT (Cap. 212) REMOVAL FROM REGISTER OF TEACHERS

Nyambura John Gacheru, Ratemo Hyline 22/10/2024, Nandain Charles Wycliff, and Peter Cosmas Obiero have been removed from the register of teachers following a disciplinary process.

THE POLITICAL PARTIES ACT (Cap. 7D) CHANGE OF POLITICAL PARTY OFFICIAL

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) intends to change its Deputy Party Leader from Rigathi Gachagua to Kithure Kindiki (Prof.). Any person with written submissions concerning the intended

change by the political party shall within seven (7) days from the 24th January 2025, make their written submissions to the Registrar of Political Parties.

AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE BANKING INSURANCE FINANCE UNION-KENYA (BIFU)

A notice of Amendment of the Constitution and Rules (Form I) in relation to the Union has been received. Any member who has any objection to the proposed amendments/changes to the constitution of the Union is required to submit to the Registrar in writing any such objection within twenty one (21) days from the 24th January 2025.
