President Ruto to Headline AmCham Business Summit as Kenya Targets Fresh Investment
President William Ruto will serve as the chief guest at the AmCham Business Summit 2026, scheduled for September 9–10 in Nairobi. The summit will bring together senior government officials, investors, and business executives from across East Africa and the United States to discuss trade, investment, and economic partnerships.
President Ruto’s participation comes at a key moment for Kenya’s economic relationship with the US, especially after the extension of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) to December 2028. Discussions are expected to focus on attracting investment into agriculture, manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, healthcare, critical minerals, and the digital and creative economy. The summit is also expected to provide a platform for business-to-government engagements and potential investment deals.
