Abduction Ghosts Haunt Murkomen
Members of Parliament (MP) have demanded that Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen appear before Parliament to explain a recent spate of disappearances in Nairobi. This follows the reported abduction of several men in Mathare, Umoja, Githurai and Kiamaiko by individuals alleged to be security officers. Lawmakers said the incidents have triggered protests, heightened public anxiety and resulted in a death. They are seeking clarity on the victims’ whereabouts, the involvement of security agencies, and broader concerns over rising insecurity and missing persons.
