  • Caroline Kariuki to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 13th July, 2022.
  • Nabila Khanbhai as a non-executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 13th July, 2022.

Cabinet Secretary for Energy Monica Juma has appointed: 

  • Elizabeth Lenjo and Arthur Koteng to be members of the Nuclear Power and Energy Agency Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 13th July, 2022. 

The Director General of the Energy and Petroleum Authority has gazetted a list of electrical energy that will be liable to:

  • A fuel energy cost charge of plus 463 Kenya cents per kWh for all meter readings to be taken in July, 2022.
  • A foreign exchange fluctuation adjustment of plus 73.14 Kenya Cents per kWh for all meter readings taken in July, 2022.
  • A Water Resource Management Authority (WRMA) levy of plus 1.74 Cents per kWh for all meter readings taken in July 2022
  • An inflation adjustment of plus 47 cents per kWh for all meter readings taken in July-Dec 2022.
LAND & ENVIRONMENT SECTOR 

Cabinet Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning Farida Karoney has appointed:

  • Jacinta Mutua to be the Chairperson of the Valuers Registration Board, for a period of one (1) year and six (6) months, with effect from the 2nd July, 2022.
  • Gregory Masika to be the Registrar of the Valuers Registration Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 2nd July, 2022.

Intention to prepare a local physical and land use 

  • Hola Municipality Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan. The County Government of Tana River intends to commence preparation of the above plan on the 20th June, 2022. The purpose of the plan is to provide a broad planning framework to guide spatial planning and growth within the Municipality for a period of 10 years.

Environmental Impact Assessment 

  • Kinsfolk Limited proposes to construct residential apartments comprising of a total of 256 modern apartments divided into three categories to meet divergent needs and lifestyles of home owners. These categories are one-bedroom apartment, two bedrooms and three bedrooms’ apartments. The proposed project will be on plot L.R. No. Kabete/Kibichiko/3045, located off Ngecha Road along Getathuru Road, in Kibichiko area, Kiambu County.   • Kirnbhai Harimanbhai Patel has proposed to establish a lead battery recycling facility that will promote environmental conservation on plot L.R. No. Kisumu/Kombura/2184, Kombura, Nyando Sub-County in Kisumu County.
  • Royal Suburb Phase 4 Limited, proposes to develop residential apartments comprising of a single 12-storey block with a total of 483No. apartments (204No. studio apartments, 168No. Superior studio apartments, 99No. one bed roomed type (A) apartments, 12No. one bed roomed type (B) apartments), one basement for parking, commercial space on ground floor, guard house, protected dustbin cubicles, sewer, lifts and other associated facilities and amenities on plot L.R. No. 1012/133 (Original No. 1012/47/1/10) at Roysambu area off Kamiti Road, Roysambu Sub-County, Nairobi City County.
