President William Ruto is scheduled to preside over an executive performance review at State House, Nairobi, on Monday, 7 September 2026. The strategic session will assess cross-ministerial implementation schedules for flagship projects under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) as the administration enters the final stretch of Quarter 3. Cabinet Secretaries will present progress reports on public finance management, the rollout of rural infrastructure, and public-private partnership (PPP) frameworks initiated during the late-August reviews.

Senate Resumes Sittings as National Assembly Recess Continues
The Senate ends its recess and resumes formal plenary sittings on Tuesday, 8 September 2026. Full judicial operations and normal court calendars across all stations are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, 15th September 2026.

Habil Waswani Named Acting CEO, Kenya Airways
The Kenya Airways Board of Directors has appointed Habil Waswani as Acting Group Managing Director and CEO, effective 15 September 2026. Waswani, who has served as the airline’s Company Secretary and Director of Legal Services and Regulatory Compliance since March 2021, assumes the top executive role following the resignation of Capt. George Kamal.
