The High Court Shall be in Recess until 15th September 2025. During this period, sitting sessions are paused, but the court registry remains open on weekdays for urgent matters, and duty judges are designated to handle critical applications.
The National Assembly is considering the Government-Owned Enterprises Bill, 2025, which sets out rules for establishing, managing, and overseeing state-owned enterprises. It covers governance, performance evaluation, reporting, mergers, dissolution, and related amendments to existing laws. The public is invited to submit memoranda on the Bill to the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning by 27th August 2025 at 5.00 p.m., through post, hand delivery, or email (cna@parliament.go.ke). Copies of the Bill are available at Parliament and on its website.

Janet J. Dali has been appointed as Group Head of Ecosystems and Strategic Partnerships, within I&M Bank Ltd’s Group Digital Business.
Janet’s previous roles span product management across Citi, GTBank Kenya, NCBA Group and Commercial Bank of Africa. She has also worked with Impact Africa Network and is the founder of Jade Signature Consultancy Limited. At Commercial Bank of Africa and later NCBA, she drove early digital banking strategies and partnerships, leading regional innovation, achieving notable growth in open banking revenue and transactional volume.
Her career journey reflects a forward-thinking strategist and builder. At Diamond Trust Bank (DTB), she spearheaded the roll-out of a next-generation Banking-as-a-Service proposition—enabling fintechs and ecosystem players to integrate dynamically with core banking infrastructure. Her contributions were integral to the development of the bank’s digital innovation hub and its flagship API platform, Astra—a catalyst for fintech, edtech, and healthtech collaborations that are reshaping the digital banking landscape in East Africa.
She has also been involved in various projects. At the Commercial Bank of Africa, she was instrumental in revolutionizing the e-commerce and remittance landscape through the development of an integrated digital platform that enhanced cross-border payments and strengthened financial inclusion. She also pioneered the automation of Mpesa float disbursement, significantly improving liquidity management for mobile money agents by reducing manual processes and ensuring faster turnaround times. Her work further extended to spearheading the bank’s open banking initiative, where she advanced interoperability and API integration to support the institution’s broader digital transformation agenda.
At her time in Citi she worked on delivering large-scale systems integration projects, including the Kenya Ports Authority SAP host-to-host integration, which enabled seamless corporate-to-bank connectivity and real-time financial transactions. Janet also played a pivotal role in modernizing trade within the tea industry through the East African Tea Trade Association (EATTA) Electronic Bill of Exchange (EBB) system.
Janet attended Mama Ngina High School. She then proceeded to United States International University – Africa where she graduated with a BSC Information Systems and Technology, Networking and DBMS. She also has a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi.
