Political Leaders to Attend Late Senator William Cheptumo’s Nairobi Memorial
The late Baringo Senator William Cheptumo’s Nairobi funeral service will take place this Thursday at Milimani AIC Church. The service is expected to attract high-ranking political leaders, many of whom have been using recent burial ceremonies to advance their political positions ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Former Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection, Simon Chelugui, who also serves as the chairperson of the funeral planning committee, has confirmed that the senator—who previously served as the Member of Parliament for Baringo North from 2008 to 2013—will be laid to rest at his home in Bartabwa Ward on 1st March 2025.
