The Departmental Committee on Health has called for submissions on memoranda on the proposed amendments to the Health Act, Cap 241,to provide access to emergency services and heathcare before payment of prospective medical costs by users. The memoranda should be forwarded to the Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly on or before 26th June 2025.
Hearing on the nomination process of newly appointed IEBC commissioners will be heard this Tuesday. It was recently brought to the attention of the Registrar of the High Court that there had been blatant disregard over the conservatory orders barring their appointments via gazette notice released last week .The orders barred the President from gazetting the newly appointed commissioners. With this regard the petitioners filed a fresh application under certificate of urgency to have the matter expedited.

Security was heightened due to protest risks and wildfire smoke, and the summit marked a shift toward broader international engagement by including leaders from the Global South.
