Hon. James Macharia, the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure, Urban Development and Public Works appoints-MALIKA OMAR to

Hon Farida Karoney, has notified the public that pursuant to paragraph 3 of Gazette Notice No. 7859 of 2018, the Cabinet Secretary for Lands
and Physical Planning has extended the period of the Taskforce on Electronic Land Transactions, Registration, Conveyancing and other
Related Activites under the Land Registration Act, 2012, the Land Act, 2012 and the Community Land Act, 2016, to the 2nd December, 2018
with effect from the 3rd October, 2018.

  1. Application For A Mining Licence by Aqua Mines Limited

Aqua Mines Limited has applied for a mining license to mine gemstones except diamonds in Kasigau, Taita Taveta County. Any objection to
the grant of the mining licence may be made in writing and addressed to the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Mining, P.O. Box
30009-00100, GPO, Nairobi, Kenya to reach him within forty two (42) days from the date of the publication of this notice in the Kenya Gazette.

Mary Mungai, the Commissioner for Co-operative Development has ordered that an inquiry be instituted to look into the affairs of the Central
Farmers’ Cooperative Society. This decision follows a petition by the members.

The inquiry will look into the company by-laws; working and financial conditions; and the conduct of present or past management committee of
Isiolo Central Farmers’ Co-operative Society ; Obed Mbae, Principal Co-operative Auditor (Nairobi) and Peter Kinuthia, Senior Co-operative
Officer, (Kajiado) to hold an inquiry within ten (10) days from the date thereof at such place and time as may be expedient and duly notified by

The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for the above
proposed project.The proponent, Kenya National Highways Authority, is proposing to rehabilitate and strengthen sections of the road fromMalindi Town to Madogo at the junction with the A3 Road that are opaved but in poor conditions and upgrade the road to bitumen standards. The project road is
intended to link the Lamu Port to the rest of Kenya. The length of the project road is about 340 Km.

Scale Coper Mining On Sections Of 6 Acres Of Private Land, Kasalani Village, Kasaala Location, Ikutha Ward, Kitui South, Kitui County
The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for the above proposed project.

The proponent, Geotech Mining Company Limited, is proposing to carry out small scale copper mining as provided by the Mining Act, 2016. The sections of land proposed for small scale mining is private land largely used for agro pastoral activities.

The company has been given mining rights by the Ministry of Mines and Geology to carry out prospecting and mining of copper in a 3.8km 2 land. Within the allocated mining site, the company has discovered commercially viable copper ore deposits in sections of 6 acres of land. The main objective of the proposed project is to evaluate the effects. Impacts of proposed small scale copper mining in relation to the environment i.e. physical, biological and social- economic environments.

The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for a proposed project in Kilifi County. The proponent, Superior Homes (Kenya) PLC, is proposing to construct residential apartments comprising 202 Two bedroom units, I08 Three bedroom units, 43 bedroom villas associated facilities and amenities in Kilifi County.
