  • The Cabinet approved the proposal to implement new taxes on products that are imported into the country yet similar goods are being manufactured locally.
  • Former IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati claimed that he was offered a bribe to alter the 2022 presidential election results in favor of Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga or force a run-off.
  • The Kericho County Assembly Speaker, Dr. Patrick Mutai, expressed fears that his life could be in danger after a mysterious vehicle allegedly trailed him to his residence in Nakuru for two days.
  • Trade and Industry CS Moses Kuria banned public schools from selling school uniforms and textbooks. The government moved to crackdown on suppliers colluding with learning institutions to overcharge parents for the items.
