Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi, also known as Grand Mullah, has continued to be a critic and champion of good governance. Abdullahi is one of the top-rated dispute resolution lawyers in Kenya. His experience spans over two decades, and over the years, he has litigated numerous landmark and precedent-setting cases involving complex legal issues.

He has represented clients at the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the High Court of Kenya. His client list includes multinational corporations, parastatals, constitutional bodies and the private sector. He is highly sought after for his strategic and multifaceted approach to dispute resolution, his insightful yet business-savvy resolutions and his experience in handling complex matters. Quite notably, lawyers from his firm, Ahmednasir Abdullahi Advocates LLP, recently petitioned the Judicial Service Commission for the removal of Chief Justice Martha Koome and six judges of the Supreme Court. This followed claims of gross misconduct and breach of the judges’ code of conduct by the seven senior judges.

Outside courtroom accomplishments, Abdullahi has also made notable contributions to the legal fraternity. He served as a Law Reform Commissioner, where he undertook various legislative reviews such as the review of the Law of Contract, Insurance Act, Banking Act, and the Companies Act, the Reinsurance Act, among other regulatory legislation.
