Deputy President Kithure Kindiki’s recent whirlwind tours across the country, particularly in the Mount Kenya region, have raised questions about the source of the millions he’s distributing to local groups under the guise of economic empowerment. Over the past two months, he has visited several areas, including Naivasha, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Meru, Murang’a, and Kisii. He has handed out large sums to boda boda riders, women’s groups, and churches, sparking speculation, given the region’s perceived hostility toward President William Ruto’s administration.
