TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP ON GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE (GBV) INCLUDING FEMICIDE – Extension of Term
His Excellency Hon. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces has extended the term of the Technical Working Group on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) including Femicide for a period of thirty (30) days, with effect from the 9th June, 2025 up-to 8th July, 2025.
THE KENYA NATIONAL COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS ACT – Extension of Term
His Excellency, Hon. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 (15) of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights Act, 2011, has extended the period specified under section 11 (4) of the Act by ten (10) days and under section 11 (5) of the Act by ten (10) days, in respect of the tenure of the Selection Panel appointed vide Gazette Notice No. 4651/2025 of 11th April, 2025.
THE PUBLIC BENEFIT ORGANISATIONS ACT – Invitation To Make Submissions To The Draft Public Benefit Organisations Regulations
The Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, Hon. Onesmus Kipchumba Murkomen, has developed the Draft Public Benefit Organisations Regulations in accordance with section 69 of the Public Benefit Organisations Act. The Regulations seek to guide on the Registration and Management of Public Benefit organisations in accordance with the Public Benefit Organisations Act. The Draft Regulations may be accessed on the official website of the Public Benefit Organisations Regulatory Authority website www. Pbora.go.ke or registration.pbora.go.ke. Members of the public, stakeholders and interested parties are invited to submit their views, written comments and representations via this e-mail ppregulations@pbora.go.ke by the 25th July, 2025.
THE NATIONAL TRANSPORT AND SAFETY AUTHORITY ACT – Appointments
The Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport, David Chirchir, appointed several persons to be Members of the County Transport and Safety Committees of the respective counties with effect from the 13th December, 2024.
THE MINING ACT – Application for Prospecting License
Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs, Ali Hassan Joho, notified receipt of an application for a prospecting licence from Nomora Resources Limited. The application may be accessed from the Ministry’s portal vide the website address https://portal.miningcadastre.go.ke/ and is published in the Kenya Gazette and opened to the public for comments for twenty-one (21) days from 13th June 2025.
THE CENTRAL BANK OF KENYA ACT – Licensing of Digital Credit Providers.
The Central Bank of Kenya, on the 29th May, 2025, licensed several entities as Digital Credit Providers.
THE EVIDENCE ACT – Appointment
The Director of Public Prosecutions, Renson Igonga, appointed Antonette Jeptoo Korir, Fredrick Mosoti Makori, and Wamuyu Festus Mwai, to be Scene of Crime Officers, to take and prepare evidence of photographic nature in criminal proceedings, for the purposes of producing certificates of photographic images from crime scenes under the Evidence Act.

THE INTER-GOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS ACT – Delineation of National Government and County Government Functions on County Transport
The Inter-Governmental Relations Technical Committee amended the Schedule to Gazette Notice No. 16482 of 2024 to delete the word “government” appearing in subparagraph (b) in the second column titled “County Governments” and add several new provisions. The proposed amendments restructure the division of responsibilities between the National Government and County Governments on matters related to traffic management and street lighting.
KENYA REVENUE AUTHORITY – List of Overstayed Goods
The KRA issued notice of several goods to be removed from the custody of the Customs Warehouse Keeper, Forodha JKIA, and Container Freight Stations in Mombasa within thirty (30) days from 13th June 2025. Failure to which they will be treated as abandoned and will be disposed off in accordance with the provisions of EACCMA 2004, including being sold by public auction on 28th July, 2025, 29th July, 2025, 30th July, 2025, 31st July, 2025 and 1st August, 2025 through an online portal https://ibid.kra.go.ke. Interested buyers may view the goods at Customs Warehouses in JKIA, Forodha House on 24th July, 2025 and 25th July, 2025 during office hours.
ENERGY AND PETROLEUM REGULATORY AUTHORITY
- Notice was given that all prices for several electrical energy listed will be liable to a fuel energy cost charge of plus 380 Kenya cents per kWh for all meter readings to be taken in June, 2025.
- Notice was given that all prices for specified electrical energy will be liable to a foreign exchange fluctuation adjustment of plus 70.15 cents per kWh for all meter readings taken in June 2025.
- Notice was given that all prices for Electrical Energy from several listed hydropower plants will be liable to a Water Resource Management Authority (WRMA) Levy of Plus 1.63 cents per kWh for all meter readings taken in June, 2025
THE PHYSICAL AND LAND USE PLANNING ACT – Completion of Part Development Plans
Notice wais given that the preparation of several listed plans was completed. The Part Development Plans relate to land situated within respective Counties. Copies of the Part Development Plans as prepared have been deposited for public inspection free of charge at the respective offices of the County Commissioners, County Executive Committee Members in charge of Physical and Land Use Planning and the National Director of Physical Planning-5th Floor, Ardhi House, Nairobi; between the hours of 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Any interested person who wishes to make any representation in connection with or objection to the above Part Development Plans may send such representation in writing to be received by the National Director of Physical Planning, 1st Ngong’ Avenue, Ardhi House, P.O. Box 45025– 00100, Nairobi or electronically via e-mail: ndpp@ardhi.go.ke not later than sixty (60) days from 13th June 2025, and such representation or objection shall state the grounds on which they are made.
PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
The Public Service Commission published its Evaluation Report Prepared Pursuant to Article 234(2) (H) of the Constitution for the 2023/2024 Financial Year.
THE KENYA INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS ACT – Application of Licences
- Several applicants have made applications to the Communications Authority of Kenya for grant of licences. The licences, if granted, will enable the applicants to operate and provide Community and Commercial Free to Air Television. The grant of these licences may affect the public and local authorities, companies, persons or bodies of persons within the country.
Any legal or natural person, or group of individuals, who are desirous of making any representation and/or any objection to the said applications, to do so vide a letter addressed to: The Director-General, Communications Authority of Kenya, CA Centre, Waiyaki Way, P.O. Box 14448– 00800, Nairobi, indicating the licence category on the cover enclosing it. The said representation and/or objection must be filed on or before expiry of thirty (30) days from 13th June 2025, and a copy of the same be forwarded to the applicant.
- The Communications Authority of Kenya shall revoke the postal licences of several service providers within seven (7) days from 13th June 2025
THE COMPANIES ACT – Dissolution
Several Companies have been dissolved and their names struck-off the Register of Companies with effect from the 13th June 2025.
