The State Corporations Act – Appointments
- H.E William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces revoked the appointment of Joe Owaka Ager as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Pyrethrum Processing Company of Kenya, with effect from the 31st January 2025.
- H.E William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces revoked the appointment of Kiema Mwandia (Dr.) as a Member of Tanathi Water Works Development Agency Board, with effect from the 31st January 2025.
- Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano has appointed Nancy Waturi Mathenge to be a member of the Kenya Wildlife Service Board of Trustees, for three (3) years, effective from the 31st of January 2025. The appointments of Peter Fredrick Moll and Edward Norton are revoked.
- Cabinet Secretary for Health, Deborah Barasa appointed Leonard K. Sang to be a member of the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital Board, for three (3) years, effective from the 31st January 2025.
The Pending Bills Verification Committee – Extension of Term
- National Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi Ng’ong’o has extended the term of the above-mentioned Taskforce for a further six (6) months, from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
The Kenya Defence Forces Act – Appointment
- Defence Cabinet Secretary Rosalinda Soipan Tuya has appointed several members of the Kenya Defence Forces Pension Appeals Committee for three (3) years, effective January 31, 2025.
The Universities Act – Appointment
- Education Cabinet Secretary, Julius Ogamba, has appointed Bob Ndubi as a member of the Council of Kisii University, with effect from the 31st of January 2025
The Micro and Small Enterprises Act – Appointment
- Cabinet Secretary for Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development, Wycliffe Oparanya, appointed Martha Wanjiru Miano as a member of the Board of Directors of the Micro and Small Enterprise Authority, for three (3) years, with effect from 31st January 2025. The appointment of *Adan Sheikh Abdullahi is revoked.
The Water Act – Appointment
- Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation Eric Mugaa has appointed Nicholas Wambua Muthangya to the Board of Directors of the Tanathi Water Works Development Agency for three (3) years, effective 31 January 2025.
The Industrial Training Act – Appointment
- Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection, Alfred Mutua, appointed several persons to be members of the National Industrial Training Authority Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 31st January 2025.
The Meat Control Act
- Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Mutahi Kagwe, declared the Domesticated Water Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) as a food animal for purposes of the Act.
The Land Act of 2012
- The National Land Commission issued a reservation order to reserve and vest the care, control, and management of the land parcel L.R. No. 10815, measuring approximately 0.1667 hectares and situated in Malindi, as described in FR 392/162 to the Kenya Wildlife Service for Malindi Marine National Reserve.
The Unclaimed Financial Assets Act
- The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority has shared claims for unclaimed assets of deceased persons and agents of the original owners. The Authority issued notice that if no objection is lodged within thirty (30) days payment will be made to the listed persons.
The Political Parties Act
- Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) intends to change the location of the party head office. Any person with written submissions concerning the intended change by the political party shall, within seven (7) days from 31st January, deposit them with the Registrar of Political Parties.
The Companies Act
- The Registrar of Companies has issued notice of a list of companies to be struck off the register of companies and be dissolved
The Crops Act
- Notice is issued that the Agriculture and Food Authority proposes to grant licenses to several listed applicants. Any objections to the proposed grant of license with respect to the applicant should be lodged in writing with the Agriculture and Food Authority-Coffee Directorate.
The Energy Act
- The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has reviewed and approved new tariffs for specific petroleum infrastructure services for the period 2024/25 to 2026/27
- The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) reviewed, standardised, and approved new specifications for Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) used in thermal power plants for electricity generation.
