Appointments

• The President has appointed Manoj Shah (Dr.) to be the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Transport and Safety Authority, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023 and the appointment of Aden Noor Ali has been revoked.
• The President has appointed Jacob Kamau Kahiu to be the chairperson of the Tea Board of Kenya, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023 and the appointment  of David Kiarie Mburu (Dr.) has been revoked.

• The Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning has appointed Boaz Cheluget (Dr.) to be a member of the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023. 
• The Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport has appointed  Johnson Losilian, Paul Posho and Lilian Nyabonyi Mogendi to be members of the Board of Directors of the National Transport and Safety Authority, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023. The appointment of Nimo Omar Haji, Charles Nyabuti and Simon Kalekem has been revoked.
• The Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning has appointed  Josephine A. Eboko and Faith Chirchir to be a member and secretary, respectively, of the Capital Markets Tribunal, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023. 
• The Cabinet Secretary for Education has appointed John Maina Kamuiru to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 9th June, 2023.
• The Cabinet Secretary for Education has appointed Alois Musa Lentoimaga as a member of the Council of the Multimedia University of Kenya, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023 and the appointment of Amina H. Ibrahim has been revoked.
• The Cabinet Secretary for Education has appointed Willis Gesami Omwoyo (Dr.) as a member of the Council of the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023. 
• The Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development has appointed Wanyama Musiambo as Chairperson and Robinson Mogoa, to be a member of the Board of Governors of the Bukura Agricultural College, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 9th June, 2023. The appointments effected vide Gazette Notice Nos. 6224/2022 and 4579/2020 have been  revoked. 
• The Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry has appointed  Djae Nyabuti to be a member of the Industrial Property Tribunal, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 9th June, 2023.
• The Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry has been appointed ADRIAN O. OPIYO to be a member of the Standards Tribunal, for a further period of five (5) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023.
• The Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications and the Digital Economy has appointed Naomi Gechemba, Ilhaam Ahmed Taisr, to be members of the Board of the Kenya Film Commission, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023
• The Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection has appointed Aden Noor Ali to be the non-executive chairperson of the National Industrial Training Board, for a period of three (3) years with effect from 9th June, 2023. 
• The Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation has appointed  Mbarak Hamid as a member of the Board of Directors of Coast Water Works Development Agency, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023.
• The Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection has appointed Samuel Biringi Mayaka to be a member of the National Industrial Training Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023. 
• The Cabinet Secretary for East African Community (EAC), the ASALS and Regional Development has appointed ROBINSON GAITA to be a member of the Tana and Athi Rivers Development Authority, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023.
• The Cabinet Secretary for East African Community (EAC), the ASALS and Regional Development has appointed  Gilbert Tenai Bor to be a member of the National Drought Management Authority, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 9th June, 2023.
• The Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts has appointed Raphael Letimalo to be a member of the Kenya Film Classification Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 9th June, 2023.
• The Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage has appointed Peter Simon Ngori to be a member of the Council of the Kenya Utalii College, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 9th June, 2023.
• The Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage has appointed Josephine Gakenia, Alex Cleland Atingo, as members of the Board of Directors of the Tourism Regulatory Authority, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023.
• The Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Forestry has appointed Duncan Mwangi Kuria, Emmanuel Mumia, to be members of the National Environment Tribunal, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023.
• The Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Forestry has appointed— Rose Ombaki, Florence Auma Oluoch, to be members of the Kenya Water Towers Agency Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 9th June, 2023.

The Judiciary

• The Chief Justice has appointed Joyner Okonjo (Ms.) and Raimond Saya Molenje to be members of the Mediation Accreditation Committee, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 6th June, 2023. 
• The Chief Justice and the President of the Supreme Court has extended the term of the Judges’ Retirement Benefits Bill Taskforce appointed vide Gazette Notice No. 2111 of 2023 and addendum Gazette Notice No. 5053 of 2023, for a period of four (4) months, with effect from 17th may, 2023.

 Communications Authority of Kenya

The Director-General/CEO has granted licences to the applicants listed in the Gazette to operate and provide the services indicated.

Declaration of Kenya Standards

The Secretary, National Standards Council has gazetted the specifications or codes of practice appearing in the schedule as gazetted to be Kenya Standards, with effect from the date of publication of this gazette.
