Gachagua Slams Ruto’s State Address, Terms it ‘Useless’
Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has stepped up his criticism of President William Ruto, dismissing the Head of State’s State of the Nation address delivered in Parliament on Thursday as a “useless speech devoid of substance.”
Speaking during the by-election campaign in Mbeere North on Thursday, Gachagua accused President Ruto of putting on a show rather than making real progress, claiming the address lacked any significant achievements.
Gachagua further claimed that the administration had mismanaged public resources and allowed “a period marked by lawlessness,” pointing to reports of abductions and insecurity that, according to him, undermine the credibility of the President’s message to the nation.
