- President Ruto chaired a Cabinet meeting to assess the progress of BETA projects. In the Despatch from Cabinet, the Cabinet backed the war against killer brews, narcotic drugs, and psychotropic substances in line with the measures issued by the Ministry of Interior.
In addition, the Cabinet also approved the creation of a Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit (CIPU) tasked to protect and secure the nation’s critical infrastructure, such as ICT backbone infrastructure, rail, roads, airports, water facilities, energy plants, and power transmission lines.
