Significant political event of the week:

Deputy President William Ruto asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to forgive him during the National Prayer Breakfast that was held at Safari Park this week on Thursday.

Speaking during the prayer breakfast, Dr Ruto acknowledged he had fallen short of his boss’s expectations and said he had also forgiven others who had hurt him.

President Kenyatta, on the other hand, said he looked forward to peace and enjoyment as he heads into retirement. 

It was noticeable that the two leaders did not share a table during the event.
