On Monday, August 1, Education CS George Magoha directed schools to release learners for a break ahead of the next week’s polls. He said that this was meant to allow some teachers, who act as polling clerks, deputy presiding officers and presiding officers to prepare ahead of the August 9 polls. He added that the schools listed needed to be marked.
