The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment report for a proposed 30-storey commercial and residential tower development along Upper Hill Road in Nairobi. Members of the public have been invited to submit comments on the project before a decision is made. 

NEMA has invited public comments on a proposed large-scale residential development in Kileleshwa by Central Park Residency Limited. The project comprises five 25-storey apartment blocks with 1,090 housing units and associated amenities on amalgamated plots along Laikipia Road. 

NEMA has received an Environmental Impact Assessment report for the proposed Bahari Central residential apartments in Kilimani. The development will comprise an 18-storey residential block with 144 apartments and supporting amenities, and members of the public are invited to submit comments. 

The National Environment Management Authority has invited public comments on a proposed mixed-use development along Chania Avenue in Kilimani. The project by Jinyu Company Limited includes 391 residential units, commercial facilities, parking spaces, recreational amenities and supporting infrastructure. 

Governor Johnson Sakaja has re-appointed Johnstone Alusiola Mukabwa, Emmah Mukuhi Muthoni, Rose Esther Muthoni Wamuiya, Robow Mohamed Hassan, Cedric Kelvin Alaro and Arnold Karanja as board members of the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company for a three-year term effective 27th April 2026. 

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba has appointed George Ndung’u Thuku as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Council of Kiambu National Polytechnic for three years effective 5th June 2026. The appointment of Dr. Francis Kigo Njega has been revoked. 

The Ministry of Lands has launched a community land adjudication programme for parts of Isiolo County covering the Oldonyiro and Ngaremara areas. The programme aims to facilitate registration of community land within the county. 

Governor Wilber Ottichilo has constituted the Vihiga County Climate Change Steering Committee. The committee includes county executive officials and four appointed members, namely Esperanza Karaho, Lilian Aluso, Dorice Anjawa and Professor Caroline Mulinya, who will serve renewable three-year terms effective 4th April 2026.

The County Government of Makueni has issued a public notice regarding eleven unclaimed bodies, including two adult females, eight adult males and one fetus, currently held at Makueni County Referral Hospital Farewell Home. Relatives have 14 days to identify and claim the remains before the county seeks court approval for their disposal. 

The Chief Magistrate’s Court in Kakamega has issued notice of its intention to seek approval from the Chief Justice to destroy criminal and traffic court records dating from 2020 to 2021. The proposed disposal will take place after three months, in accordance with the Records Disposal (Courts) Rules. 

Governor Joseph Ole Lenku has appointed a seven-member ad hoc committee drawn from professional bodies, business representatives and residents to evaluate proposals for the conferment of municipality status on Kenyawa–Poka and Oloitoktok. The committee takes effect from 7th May 2026.
