Kwale THE LAND ACT (Cap. 280) MWACHE MULTI PURPOSE DAM PROJECT ADDENDUM, DELETION, CORRIGENDA AND INQUIRY

The National Land Commission intends to acquire additional land in Kwale County on behalf of the Coast Water Works Development Agency for construction of the Mwache Multipurpose Dam, while also correcting and deleting previously gazetted parcel details. Inquiries on the affected parcels will be announced separately in the Kenya Gazette.

THE LAND ACT (Cap. 280) INQUIRY INTO PROPOSED COMPULSORY ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR MWACHE MULTI PURPOSE DAM PROJECT

The National Land Commission will hold inquiries between 1st and 8th October 2026 at various locations in Kwale County regarding the compulsory acquisition of land for the Mwache Multipurpose Dam Project, covering the propriety of the acquisitions, compensation and related claims.

THE LAND ACT (Cap. 280) CONSTRUCTION OF MWACHE MAIN DAM, LOWER CHECK DAM AND MWACHE ROADS INTENTION TO COMPULSORY ACQUIRE LAND (Deletion, Corrigendum and Addendum)
