COUNTY  UPDATE
MACHAKOS Governor Wavinya Ndeti has appointed Annastacia Wayua Victor (Ms.) to be the member of the County Executive Committee of Machakos responsible for Water, Irrigation, Environment and Climate Change.
NYERI The Water Services Regulatory Board has revised downwards the water and sanitation tariffs for the following companies upon further review and consideration of the Nyeri County Government subsidy provisions;

  1. Mathira Water and Sanitation Company (MAWASCO)
  2. Naromoru Water and Sanitation Company (NAROWASCO)
  3. Tetu Aberdare Water and Sanitation Company (TEAWASCO)
  4. Othaya Mukurweini Water and Services Company (OMWASCO) 
LAIKIPIA  The Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) has approved the regular tariff adjustment for the area served by Nyahururu Water and Sanitation Company (NYAHUWASCO). Having considered the application, the written and oral submissions by all stakeholders and the current data, WASREB has determined that an upward tariff review is justified for NYAHUWASCO to improve service delivery, operate sustainably and protect consumer interests by meeting the tariff conditions attached to the tariff.
NAKURU The Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) has approved the regular tariff adjustment for the area served by Naivasha Water and Sanitation Company (NAIVAWASCO). Having considered the application, the written and oral submissions by all stakeholders and the current data, WASREB has determined that an upward tariff review is justified for NAIVAWASCO to improve service delivery, operate sustainably and protect consumer interests by meeting the tariff conditions attached to the tariff.
KIAMBU A special sitting of the Kiambu County Assembly shall be held, on Tuesday, the 25th of March 2025 at 10.00 a.m., to consider a report on the County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) 2025.

The County Executive Committee Member for Education, Dr. Mercy Njagi revoked the appointment of several persons as members of Ward Education Bursary Committees of various wards.

Notice is given that the preparation for the Existing Site for Moi Primary School, Thika is completed. Any interested person who wishes to make any representation in connection with or objection to the above part development plan may send such representation in writing to be received by the National Director of Physical Planning, 1st Ngong’ Avenue, Ardhi House Building, P.O. BUNGOMA Thursday, the 27th of March, 2025, at 2.30 p.m., shall be a day for a special sitting of the County Assembly. The business to be transacted during the special sitting shall be the Address by the Governor, Kenneth Makelo Lusaka. The special sitting shall be held in the County Assembly Chambers, Bungoma.
KAKAMEGA The County Assembly of Kakamega has approved the Calendar of the Assembly (Regular Sessions) as from February 2025  to February 2026.
SAMBURU The County Assembly of Samburu has approved the Calendar of the Assembly (Regular Sessions) for 2025.

The Senior Principal Magistrate’s Court at Maralal intends to apply to the Chief Justice, for leave to destroy several records, books and papers of the Senior Principal Magistrate’s Court at Maralal. A comprehensive list of all the records that qualify to be disposed under the Act can be perused at the Senior Principal Magistrate’s Court Registry, Maralal.

NAIROBI The County Executive Committee Member, Built Environment and Urban Planning, Patrick Mbogo, intends to declare the Nairobi River Corridor as a Special Planning Area. Members of the public are invited to submit their comments on this proposal in writing within fourteen days from the 21st  of March, 2025 through email address: countysecretary@nairobi.go.ke or P.O. MOMBASA The County Government of Mombasa in order to preserve road infrastructure within the County shall enforce compliance with axle load limits as defined by the EAC Vehicle Load Control Act, 2016, and related national laws on County roads effective from thirty (30) days from March 21st 2025 
KITUI The County Executive Committee Member responsible for Water and Irrigation, Peter G Nkunda, has appointed several persons as members of the Board of Directors of Kiambere–Mwingi Water and Sanitation Company, for a period of three (3) years, effective the 6th March, 2025.
KAJIADO The County Executive in charge of Land Use Planning, Hamilton Parseina, has appointed several persons to serve as;

  1. Members of the County Physical and Land Use Consultative Forum.
  2. Members of Kajiado County Physical Planning and Land Use Planning Committee, for a period of three (3) years.
UASIN GISHU Notice is given that the preparation of the Kiriswa Trading Centre Plan was on the 26th of February 2025, completed. Any interested person who wishes to make any representation in connection with or objection to the above plan may within sixty days send the same to County Director in charge of Physical Planning and Land Use Planning, P.O Box 40–30100, Eldoret. and such representations or comments shall state the grounds upon which they are made.
THARAKA NITHI Notice is given that the County Government of Tharaka Nithi completed the preparation of the Tharaka Nithi County Physical and Land Use Development Plan (County Spatial Plan) on the 15th of October 2024. Any interested person who wishes to make any representation in connection with or objection to the above plan may within sixty days send the same to CECM, Lands and Physical Planning, P.O Box 10– 60406, Kathwana. and such representations or comments shall state the grounds upon which they are made.

Notice is given that the County Government of Tharaka Nithi intended to commence preparation of several development plans on the 6th November, 2024.

VIHIGA Notice is given that the preparation for the Regularization of Existing Site for Vihiga Affordable Housing Programme Site, Vihiga County was on the 28th February, 2025, completed. MOMBASA The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for the Proposed Construction of Berth 19B and Associated Infrastructure at the Port of Mombasa in Mombasa County. NEMA invites members of the public to submit oral or written comments within thirty (30) days from March 21st 2025 to assist the Authority in the decision making process for this project.
