The Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development has gazetted an adjudication programme for the registration of community land in Garissa County under the Community Land Act, covering specified communities across Garissa Township, Balambala, Lagdera, Dadaab, Fafi, and Ijara constituencies. The programme identifies land areas for registration while excluding designated public lands, including townships and national reserves, and is deemed to have taken effect on 7 March 2025.

The Governor Kericho County has appointed Joseph Kipkemoi Koskei (Dr.), Benjamin Kiprono (Dr.), Eileen Chebet (Ms.) and Kipyegon Raymond Kemboi (Dr) to serve as members of Kericho County Public Service Board for a period of six (6) years with effect from 3rd June 2026.  

The Governor has appointed Paul Yator as Chairperson and Alex Kipchirchir Cheruiyot as a Member of the Elgeyo Marakwet County Public Service Board. 

The Governor as appointed seven Chief Officers to lead various county departments, including Devolution and Public Administration, Roads, Health Services, Livestock Production, Fisheries, Youth Affairs, Gender and Sports, and Housing.

The County Government of Vihiga has announced that Kaimosi town will officially be conferred municipality status following approval by the Vihiga County Assembly under the Urban Areas and Cities Act. The conferment ceremony will be held on 2 July 2026 at Kaimosi Teachers Training College and will be presided over by the Governor.

The County Government of Vihiga has gazetted Kisatiru Dispensary, a Level 2 health facility located in Sabatia West Ward, Sabatia Sub-County. The facility will provide promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative, and referral healthcare services in accordance with the Health Act, 2017. 

The County Government of Trans Nzoia has officially gazetted three health facilities, assigning St. Teresa Mother and Baby Hospital as a Level IV facility and Sinoko and Berur Dispensaries as Level II facilities. 

The Nairobi City County Assembly approved and adopted the Nairobi City County Development Control Policy, 2026, on 18 June 2026. The policy will guide development control and urban planning decisions within the county. 

Rodgers Ombori Monda was appointed Chairperson of the Nairobi City County Physical and Land Use Planning Liaison Committee for a three-year term. The committee oversees dispute resolution and planning matters under the county’s land use planning framework. 

Kilifi County has completed a Part Development Plan for existing sites allocated to the New Galana Farmers Co-operative Society Limited. The plan is available for public inspection, and interested parties have 60 days to submit objections or representations. 

Nandi County has completed the Kapkimolwo Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan and made it available for public review. Members of the public may submit comments or objections within 60 days of the notice. 

Isiolo County has completed six Part Development Plans covering the regularization and planning of residential and commercial plots in Kambi Juu, Chechelesi, and Kiwanjani. The plans are open for public inspection, with a 60-day window for objections or representations.
