Mombasa  Establishment of a Multi-Agency Taskforce to Investigate Unsafe Development on Plot No. XLVI/195/M

A multi-storey building (G+9) constructed on Plot No. XLVI/195/M, off Abdel Nasser Road, was found to be unsafe and violated construction standards, posing a serious public safety risk.A Multi-Agency Taskforce was established to investigate the construction and supervision of the unsafe building.Composition.

Representatives from the National Building Inspectorate (NBI), Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), National Construction Authority (NCA), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) – Mombasa, Kenya Institute of Planners (KIP) – Coastal Chapter, Board of Registered Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS), and Association of Architects of Kenya (AAK).
