In a historic comeback, Donald Trump, twice impeached and facing 34 felony charges, has achieved victory, becoming the 47th President of the United States. This win makes him the first Head of State in over 120 years to lose the presidency and later reclaim it, following in the footsteps of Grover Cleveland in 1892. Trump has pledged to carry out the largest deportation operation in the nation’s history, extend the tax cuts he signed into law in 2017, impose universal tariffs on imports, roll back protections for transgender youth, shut down the Education Department and curb environmental regulations. He has also signaled that he will seek to stock his administration with loyalists.
