APPOINTMENTS
 The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, William Samoei
Ruto, has appointed ALFRED KHANG’ATI to be the Chairperson of the Board of
Directors of Nzoia Sugar Company Limited, for a period of three (3) years, with effect
from the 17th February, 2023.
 President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, has
appointed SAMSON KIPKOECH SOME to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors
of the Tourism Fund Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 17th
February, 2023 and in consequence thereof the appointment of Alphonse Kioko was
revoked.
 The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appointed ABDILLAHI
IBRAHIM (DR.) to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Medical
Research Institute, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 17th February,
2023 and in consequence thereof the appointment of Mbinda Daniel Musyoka (Dr.) was
revoked.
 The Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Mithika Linturi, has
appointed Elizabeth Mudukiza Iminza, Patrice Chumba, Millicent Anyango Abudho,
Benson Madebe Chahasi, Bonface Okhiya Otsiula, Eunice Wanjiru Karanja, Okwakau
Ino Jonathan, to be members of the Board of Directors of Nzoia Sugar Company
Limited, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 17th February, 2023. Dated
the 13th February, 2023.

THE NATIONAL GENDER AND EQUALITY COMMISSION
 The Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service has gazetted that the President and
Commander-in Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, has in exercise of the powers
conferred by section 11 (15) of the National Gender and Equality Commission Act, 2011,
extended the period specified under section 11 (5) of the Act by fourteen (14) days in
regard to the Selection Panel appointed vide Gazette Notice No. 272 of 2023
