Zeituni Omar Bonaye and Warda Hashora Said have been appointed as Members of the Hola Municipality Board in Tana River County for a five-year term, effective 10th June 2026.

The County Government of Tana River has re-appointed Ambari Guyo Galgalo, Zeitun Ahmed Said and Omara Said Waldea as members of the Board of Directors of the Tana Water and Sanitation Company Limited (TAWASCO). They will serve a further three-year term effective 30th June 2026.

The terms of five members of the Homa Bay County Water and Sanitation Company Limited Board, including Chairperson Joseph Odera Ochanda, have been extended for a further three years, effective 25th July 2026.

The Bungoma County Government has appointed Hospital Management Boards for 11 county and sub-county hospitals, including Bungoma County Referral Hospital, Webuye County Hospital and nine sub-county hospitals, to serve on a part-time basis for three-year terms from 2nd September 2026.

John Karoki Kagiri has been appointed as Chairperson of the Nyeri County Rural and Urban Affordable Housing Committee, effective 31st August 2026.

The County Government of Makueni has renewed the appointments of eight members of the Makueni County Physical and Land Use Planning Liaison Committee for a final three-year term. Rosemary Ndulu Kavita will serve as Chairperson, alongside seven other committee members.

The County Government of Kilifi has given relatives and next of kin 21 days to identify and collect 443 human bodies and 45 body parts exhumed during investigations into the Shakahola and Binzaro massacres and currently held at Malindi Sub-County Hospital Mortuary. Any remains unclaimed after the deadline will be disposed of in accordance with the law.

THE ENERGY ACT (Cap. 314) DECISION ON THE TARIFF APPLICATION BY TAKAUNGU REGENERATION PROJECT LIMITED (TRPL)

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has approved the tariff application by Takaungu Regeneration Project Limited (TRPL) for its mini-grid at Green Heart Village in Kilifi County. Customers will be charged the applicable KPLC end-user tariffs, including pass-through costs, with the approved tariff valid for three years from 1st July 2026.

The preparation of the Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan for the existing Bachuma Livestock Holding and Quarantine Station in Taita Taveta County was completed on 24th August 2026. The plan is available for public inspection, with interested persons given 60 days from the date of publication to submit written representations or objections.

The Proposed Nasewa Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan (2025–2035) for land in Matayos Sub-County, Busia County, has been completed as a Project of Strategic National Importance. The plan is available for public inspection, with interested persons given 14 days from the date of publication to submit written representations or objections.
