Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi appointed Avedi Evans Kituzi as Non-Executive Chairperson and Ali Nilfat Kassim, Yienga Julius, Magdaline Chepkemoi and Abass Jihan Faisal as members of the Kenya National Innovation Agency for a three-year term, effective 11 September 2026. 

The State Corporations Act – Appointment 

Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen appointed Dr Jerop Joy Kibor and Lorna Ogolla Omondi as members of the National Cybersecurity Agency Board of Directors for a three-year term, effective 11 September 2026. 

The Universities Act – Appointment 

The Cabinet Secretary for Education appointed Prof. John Shiundu as Chairperson and Emily Kwamboka Nyagarama, Rose Chepkorir, Fredrick Njoroge, Reuben C. Butaki and Amos Okello as members of the Bomet University Council for a three-year term, effective 11 September 2026. 

The Universities Act – Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Appointment 

The Cabinet Secretary for Education appointed Collins Saitaga as a member of the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Council for a three-year term, effective 11 September 2026. 

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Act – Kajiado National Polytechnic Appointment 

The Cabinet Secretary for Education appointed Moses Narok as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kajiado National Polytechnic Council for a three-year term, effective 11 September 2026, revoking his previous appointment as a member. 

The Tourism Act – Tourism Fund Re-Appointment 

The Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife re-appointed Joseph Sarisar and Dorcas Ayoma Mbalanya as members of the Tourism Fund Board of Trustees for a three-year term, effective 11 September 2026. 

The Water Act – North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency Re-Appointment 

The Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation re-appointed Everlyne Nadio as a member of the North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency Board for a three-year term, effective 11 September 2026. 

The Water Act – Coast Water Works Development Agency Appointment 

The Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation appointed Khadua Jimmy Kahindi as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Coast Water Works Development Agency, effective 11 September 2026, revoking Gazette Notice No. 4936 of 2024. 

The Coffee Act – Coffee Board of Kenya Appointment 

The Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development appointed Chebii Kilel, Emmanuel Leina Tasur and Rosemary Kithira Muroria as members of the Coffee Board of Kenya for a three-year term, effective 11 September 2026. 

The Companies Act – Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Re-Appointment 

The Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum re-appointed Judith Khamala Makasi Nyauncho and Kirwa Bitok as members of the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited Board for a three-year term, effective 11 September 2026. 

The Water Act – Takaba Water and Sewerage Company Approved Tariff 

WASREB approved an upward tariff adjustment for TAWASCO for 2026/27-2028/29 to support service delivery and sustainability. Mandera County must provide KSh50 million annually in subsidies, while TAWASCO will pay a 4% monthly regulatory levy on turnover and comply with specified investment, reporting and budget conditions. 

The Water Act – Kiambu Water and Sewerage Company Approved Tariff 

WASREB approved an upward tariff adjustment for KIAWASCO for 2026/27-2028/29, covering water and sewerage services. Sewerage charges for connected consumers will be 75% of water volumes, while unconnected domestic units will pay KSh350 monthly. Tariffs are also subject to annual inflation-based indexation from July 2027. 

The Water Act – Homa Bay County Water and Sanitation Company Tariff 

WASREB approved the 2026/27 water and sewerage tariffs for Homa Bay County Water and Sanitation Company, applicable from 15 July 2026 to 14 July 2027. Existing miscellaneous charges and tariff conditions remain unchanged. 

The Water Act – Tetu Aberdare Water and Sanitation Company Tariff 

WASREB approved the 2026/27 water and sewerage tariffs for Tetu Aberdare Water and Sanitation Company, applicable from 15 July 2026 to 14 July 2027. Existing miscellaneous charges and tariff conditions remain unchanged. 

The Kenya Information and Communications Act – Revised Mobile Telecommunications QoS Framework 

The Communications Authority of Kenya has revised the Quality of Service Monitoring Framework for Mobile Telecommunications Services following public consultation. The revised framework takes effect 30 days from 21 August 2026. 

The Physical and Land Use Planning Act – Completion of Part Development Plans 

The State Department for Lands and Physical Planning completed nine local and part development plans in Baringo County, covering proposed public facilities, institutional sites and informal settlements. The plans are available for public inspection, with 60 days provided for objections or representations. 

The Marriage Act – Appointment of Marriage Officers 

The Registrar of Marriages appointed 15 individuals as marriage officers for specified counties, including Laikipia, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Wajir, Mandera, Makueni, Turkana, Samburu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Busia, Homa Bay, Migori, Nyamira and Taita Taveta. Dated 3 September 2026.

The Official Receiver was appointed Liquidator of Atlantis Finance Limited effective 21 May 2026 following a High Court liquidation order. Creditors must file Proof of Debt claims by 5 October 2026.

The Official Receiver was appointed Interim Liquidator of ECP Kenya Limited following a High Court order issued on 8 May 2026. Creditors must file Proof of Debt claims by 27 October 2026. 

The Labour Relations Act – Kenya Management Staff Union Name Change 

The Kenya Management Staff Union (KMSU) has proposed changing its name to Kenya Union of Professionals and Supervisory Workers (KUPSW). Members have 21 days from 3 September 2026 to submit objections. 

The Mental Health Act – Appointment of Manager of Estate 

The High Court in Machakos appointed Francisca Mbithe Mulandi as Manager of Benedict Samuel Mulandi’s estate, with authority to administer it under the Court’s orders and the Mental Health Act. Objections may be lodged within 14 days of publication. 

The Survey Act – Kenya Land Law Examination 2026 

The Kenya Land Law Examination 2026 will be held on 3 December 2026 at KISM, Ruaraka, Nairobi. Applications are due by 22 October 2026, with an examination fee of KSh5,000 payable through eCitizen.
