| Nairobi | THE CONSTITUTION OF KENYA AND COUNTY GOVERNMENTS ACT (Cap. 265), NAIROBI CITY COUNTY BETTING, LOTTERIES AND GAMING REFORMS TASKFORCE
Nairobi City Governor Johnson Sakaja has established a multi-sectoral taskforce to review the implementation of the Nairobi City County Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Act, 2026. The taskforce will examine licensing fees, regulatory requirements, enforcement, taxation, revenue generation, responsible gaming, consumer protection and overlaps between national and county regulation, and will make recommendations on legislative, regulatory and administrative reforms. The taskforce is required to submit its final report within 21 days of gazettement, unless its term is extended. THE COUNTY GOVERNMENTS ACT (Cap. 265), NAIROBI CITY COUNTY — LAND RATES FOR 2027 The Nairobi City County Government has notified ratable property owners that land rates for 2027 will become due on 1st January 2027. Rates for flat-rate zones will range from KSh 2,560 to KSh 4,800 annually depending on plot size, while residential, commercial and agricultural properties will generally attract a rate of 0.115% of the new assessed value under the 2019 Draft Valuation Roll, subject to transitional provisions. Property owners who objected to the new valuations will continue paying the old rates pending determination of their objections |

| Nakuru | THE PHYSICAL AND LAND USE PLANNING ACT (Cap. 303), COMPLETION OF PART DEVELOPMENT PLAN — NJORO TOWNSHIP
The County Government of Nakuru has announced completion of a Part Development Plan for a proposed site for the Kenya Assemblies of God Church in Njoro Township, under Plan No. R23/2025/01. The plan relates to land within Njoro Town and has been deposited at relevant physical planning offices for public inspection. Interested persons may submit written representations or objections within 30 days of publication. THE PHYSICAL AND LAND USE PLANNING ACT (Cap. 303), COUNTY ASSEMBLY OF NAKURU — APPROVAL OF LOCAL PHYSICAL AND LAND USE DEVELOPMENT PLAN The Nakuru County Assembly approved the Sirwai Zoning Plan, Development No. MIN 058, on 13th August 2025. Certified copies of the approved plan have been deposited at the County Director of Physical Planning’s office at Nakuru Ardhi House and the Sub-County Planning Office in Naivasha for public inspection.
