President has re-appointed Ngeny Biwott as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Kenya National Accreditation Service, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 30th April 2026. 

The Public Benefit Organizations Act (Cap. 134), Appointment 

The Chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission has appointed Anne Wambui Nderu, Christabel Mideva Eboso, George Robert Asewe, Prof. Thomas Katua Ngui and Dr. Janerose Kaithi Mutegi-Kibaara to be the Chairperson and Members of the Public Benefit Organisation Disputes Tribunal for a period of 3 years from 8th April 2026.  

The HIV And AIDS Prevention And Control Act (Cap. 246a), The HIV And AIDS Tribunal, Re-Appointment 

The Chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission has re-appointed Carolyne Mboku as Chairperson, and Nelson Wanyonyi Osiemo, Brian Ouko Yogo, Irene Njahira Mukui (Dr.), Solomon Musani (Dr.), and Jane Ngoiri Nganda as Members of the HIV and AIDS Tribunal for a term of three (3) years, effective 11th March 2026. 

The Registration Of Persons Act (Cap. 107), Appointment And Revocation 

 The CS for Interior and National Administration has appointed Gilbert Benjamin Kitiyo, to be the Principal Registrar with effect from 14th January 2026 and revokes the appointment of Christopher K. Wanjau (Dr.) as the Principal Registrar. 

The Ewaso Ng’iro South River Basin Development Authority Act (Cap. 448), Ewaso Ng’iro South River Basin Development Authority, Re-Appointment 

The CS for East African Community the ASALS and Regional Development has re-appointed Dr. Nkaesha Naikuni as a Member of the Ewaso Ng’iro South River Basin Development Authority, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 30th April 2026.

The CS for East African Community the ASALS and Regional Development has appointed William Oloishuro Larus to be a Member of the Ewaso Ng’iro South River Basin Development Authority, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 30th April 2026.

The CS for education has re-appointed Ondongo Sylus Were (Dr.) as a Member of the Kitale National Polytechnic Council, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 30th April 2026.

CS, Ministry of Defence revokes the *appointment of Millicent Nyaboke Omanga as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Shipyards Limited, with effect from 30th April 2026. 

The Statutory Instruments Act (Cap. 2a), Regulatory Impact Statement 

The Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes has released a Regulatory Impact Statement on the proposed Regulations under the Gambling Control Act, 2025. Stakeholders are invited to submit written memoranda within fourteen (14) days of publication to the Gambling Regulatory Authority. 

The East African Community Customs Management Act, 2004, Appointment And Limits Of A Transit Shed 

The Commissioner of Customs and Border Control has appointed M/s AGL Container Freight Station (CFS) in Changamwe, Mombasa County as a Customs Area and defined its operational boundaries. The notice further specifies the designated areas within the facility for customs control operations and related functions, including use by border control and partner government agencies. 

The Capital Markets Act (Cap. 486 A), List Of Licensees And Approved Institutions as at 10th March 2026, Approved Institutions 

The Chief Executive Officer of the Capital Markets Authority has released the list of licensed and approved institutions as at 10th March 2026 covering a wide range of regulated market participants including securities exchanges, investment banks, fund managers, stockbrokers, depositories, collective investment schemes, REITs, and other authorised financial service providers.  

The Kenya Information And Communications Act (Cap. 411a), Application For Licences 

The Communications Authority of Kenya has received licence applications under the Kenya Information and Communications Act (Cap. 411A) from several entities seeking to operate in categories including international courier services and national courier operations, as well as Tier 3 network facilities provision. The Authority has invited members of the public and interested parties to submit any representations or objections in writing within thirty (30) days of publication to the Director-General, Communications Authority of Kenya.  

The Seeds And Plant Varieties Act (Cap. 326) Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS), Appointment 

The Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) has appointed Daniel Ngetich Kiptoo and Vincent Kipngetich Langat and gazetted One Acre Fund Limited, as Private seed Testing entity. 

The Kenya Accreditation Service Act (No. 17 Of 2019), Accredited Bodies 

The Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Accreditation Service has published the list of accredited conformity assessment bodies as at 31st December 2025, covering calibration, testing, medical testing, and inspection laboratories. The notice also provides validity periods for the accreditations and cautions that it is an offence for any unaccredited body to falsely claim accreditation. 

The Insurance Act (Cap. 487), Licensed Insurers 

The Commissioner of Insurance has published a notice listing all insurers licensed to transact insurance business in Kenya including reinsurance companies, general insurers, long-term insurers, and micro-insurers. The notice also sets out the specific classes of insurance business each entity is authorised to undertake. 

The Insurance Act (Cap. 487), Insurance Brokers 

The Commissioner of Insurance has published the list of licensed insurance brokers for the year 2026, comprising firms authorised to transact insurance brokerage business. The notice confirms the registration of numerous brokers and their licence numbers as at 30th March 2026. 

The Insurance Act (Cap. 487), Insurance Investigators 

The Commissioner of Insurance has published the list of licensed insurance investigators for the year 2026 as at 30th March 2026, comprising firms authorised to conduct insurance investigations, loss assessments, and related service. The notice confirms the registration of the listed entities and their licence numbers. 

The Insurance Act (Cap. 487), Loss Adjusters 

The Commissioner of Insurance has published the official 2026 list of licensed loss adjusters confirming the firms legally authorized to assess and settle insurance claims in Kenya. The notice, effective as at 30th March 2026, serves as regulatory approval for all listed companies to operate as loss adjusters for the year. 

The Insurance Act (Cap. 487), Insurance Surveyors 

The Commissioner of Insurance has published the 2026 list of licensed insurance surveyors, confirming firms authorized to conduct risk inspections and technical assessments for insurance purposes in Kenya. The notice, effective 30th March 2026, formally approves the listed companies to operate as surveyors for the year. 

The Insurance Act (Cap. 487), Medical Insurance Providers 

The Commissioner of Insurance has issued the 2026 licensing notice approving medical insurance providers authorized to offer or arrange medical insurance services in Kenya. The list, effective 30th March 2026, confirms the firms permitted to operate in the medical insurance intermediary and provider space for the year. 

The Insurance Act (Cap. 487), Motor Assessors 

The Commissioner of Insurance has published the 2026 list of licensed motor assessors under the Insurance Act (Cap. 487), confirming firms authorized to inspect, value, and assess motor vehicle insurance claims in Kenya. The notice, effective 30th March 2026, formally approves the listed companies to operate as motor assessors for the year. 

The Insurance Act (Cap. 487), Re-Insurance Brokers 

The Commissioner of Insurance has issued the 2026 licensing notice under the Insurance Act (Cap. 487) confirming the firms authorized to operate as reinsurance brokers in Kenya. The notice, effective 30th March 2026, formally approves the listed companies to arrange and place reinsurance business for insurers for the year. 

The Insurance Act (Cap. 487), Risk Managers 

The Commissioner of Insurance has issued the 2026 licensing notice under the Insurance Act (Cap. 487) approving firms authorized to operate as risk managers in Kenya. The notice, effective 30th March 2026, confirms the listed companies are legally permitted to provide risk assessment and risk management services for insurers and clients for the year. 

The Insurance Act (Cap. 487), Bancassurance Intermediaries 

The Commissioner of Insurance has issued the 2026 licensing notice under the Insurance Act (Cap. 487) confirming banks and financial institutions authorized to operate as bancassurance intermediaries in Kenya. The notice, effective 30th March 2026, approves the listed institutions to sell and distribute insurance products through banking channels for the year. 

The Insolvency Act (No. 17 Of 2015), In The High Court Of Kenya Mwanainchi Bakers And Confectioners Limited (In Administration), First Meeting Of Creditors 

The Administrator of Mwanainchi Bakers and Confectioners Limited (in administration) has issued notice of a first virtual meeting of creditors scheduled for 22nd May 2026 under the Insolvency Act. Creditors are required to confirm attendance, submit claims and supporting documents, and may participate or vote in person, by proxy, or in writing, with the administrator circulating proposals in advance of the meeting. 

The Insolvency Act (No 18. Of 2015) The Companies Act (No. 17 Of 2015) Republic Of Kenya In The High Court Of Kenya At Nairobi Commercial And Tax Division In The Matter Of Copia Kenya Limited (Under Liquidation) Insolvency Petition No. E106 Of 2024 

A liquidation petition has been filed in the High Court (Commercial and Tax Division) seeking the winding up of Copia Kenya Limited, with a hearing scheduled for 11th May 2026 at Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi. Creditors and contributories are invited to appear in support or opposition of the petition, having been duly notified in advance through Nyaanga & Mugisha Advocates 

The Records Disposal (Court) Rules (Cap. 14 Sub. Leg) In The High Court Of Kenya At Eldoret Intended Destruction Of Court Records 

The Chief Magistrate at Eldoret has issued notice under the Records Disposal (Court) Rules indicating that, subject to approval by the Chief Justice, the court intends to destroy specified old court records after three months. The records targeted include criminal, traffic, and miscellaneous cases from 2015–2023, and affected parties are invited to claim any exhibits before the destruction is carried out. 

The Records Disposal (Court) Rules (Cap. 14 Sub. Leg) In The High Court Of Kenya At Nairobi Intended Destruction Of Court Records 

The Chief Magistrate’s Court Milimani Commercial in Nairobi has issued notice under the Records Disposal (Court) Rules of its intention to apply for authority to destroy old court records after three months from publication. The affected records include Civil Miscellaneous cases (1999–2012) and Rent Tribunal cases (2015–2023), with stakeholders invited to inspect the list and claim any exhibits before disposal is approved. 

Kerati Auctioneers, Disposal Of Uncollected Goods 

Kerati Auctioneers has issued a notice under the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act informing owners of several motorcycles and bicycles held at Othoro Police Station to collect them within 30 days from 20th April 2026 or they will be sold by public auction. The notice lists specific motorcycles and bicycles and requires owners to pay applicable costs, failing which the items will be disposed of without further reference. 

Fancy Friends Auctioneers, Disposal Of Uncollected Goods 

Fancy Friends Auctioneers has issued a notice under the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act requiring owners of several vehicles held at Executive Car World on Kiambu Road to collect them within 30 days from the date of publication. The listed vehicles, including a Toyota Harrier, Toyota Allion, Mercedes G-Wagon, Toyota Premio, and Ford Ranger, will be sold by public auction if storage and related costs are not paid and they remain unclaimed. 

Ikimwanya Auctioneers, Disposal Of Uncollected Goods 

Ikimwanya Auctioneers has issued a notice under the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act, pursuant to a court order from Eldoret Law Court, requiring owners of several motorcycles held at Kiambaa Police Station to collect them within 30 days of publication. The listed motorcycles, including TVS, Boxer, and Honda models, will be sold by public auction without further notice if owners fail to claim them and pay the associated costs.

Beafect Auctioneers has issued a notice under the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act requiring owners or claimants of assorted goods held at Pangani Auction Centre to collect them within 30 days of publication. The listed items include household furniture, appliances, and utensils, and failure to pay outstanding charges and collect them will result in sale by public auction or disposal without further notice.
