Intergovernmental Partnership Agreement on Bursaries and Scholarships – Mombasa County

The National Government through the Ministry of Education and the County Government of Mombasa have entered into an intergovernmental partnership agreement on the issuance of bursaries and scholarships. The agreement provides a framework for shared education support functions, promotes accountability, and enhances equitable access to education. The agreement became effective on 1st June 2025.

Mombasa County Assembly – Postponement of Fifth Session

The commencement of the Fifth Session of the Mombasa County Assembly, originally scheduled for 10th February 2026, has been postponed to 17th February 2026 due to renovations at the Assembly Buildings.

County Government of Nakuru, Audit Committee Appointment

The Governor of Nakuru County has appointed Simon Chege Mwangi as Chairperson, Timothy Mbatia Njoroge as Secretary, and Mary Wangari Gichaga, Elizabeth Mumbi Kimere, Douglas Owiti Nyangidi, and Leonard K. Sang as Members of the Nakuru County Government Audit Committee, with effect from 18th November 2025.

County Government of Baringo, County Medical Board Appointment

The Governor of Baringo County has appointed members to the County Medical Board, mandated to provide professional medical assessments and recommendations on staff retirement on grounds of ill health. The Board will serve for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 27th October 2025.

Hospital Management Boards – Appointment

The County Executive Committee Member for Health, Baringo County, has appointed members to the Hospital Management Boards for a three-year term from 26th January 2026 to 26th January 2029.

County Government of Isiolo, Alcoholic Drinks Control Board and Committee, Appointment

The County Government of Isiolo has appointed members to the Isiolo County Alcoholic Drinks Control Board and the Isiolo County Alcoholic Drinks Control Committee, in accordance with the Isiolo County Alcoholic Drinks Control Act, 2025, following approval by the County Assembly.

Isiolo Water and Sewerage Company Limited, Selection Panel Appointment

The Governor of Isiolo County has appointed members to a Selection Panel responsible for recruiting seven external members of the Board of Directors of the Isiolo Water and Sewerage Company Limited. The Panel’s mandate includes advertising vacancies, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and submitting recommendations to the Governor. The appointment is valid for thirty (30) days, and Gazette Notice No. 13364 of 15th September 2025 is revoked.

Intergovernmental Partnership Agreement on Bursaries and Scholarships – Kwale County

The National Government, through the Ministry of Education, and the County Government of Kwale entered into an Intergovernmental Partnership Agreement on 14th January 2026 on the issuance of bursaries and scholarships to promote transparency, resource sharing, equitable access to education, and cooperation across primary, special, secondary, university, and tertiary institutions within Kwale County.

Kajiado County – Stamping Stations

The CECM for Finance and Economic Planning, Kajiado County, has gazetted centers for verification and stamping of weights, measures, and trade equipment, with provisions for notifying inspectors if equipment cannot be moved.

Grace Muthoni Mutua (Dr.) appointed Chairperson, with seven members, to the KICOTEC Board for one year effective 5th November 2025.
