The Constitution Of Kenya (Amendment) Bill 2025, Public Hearing.

The Senate Standing Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights shall be conducting a public hearing on Monday, 6th October 2025 from 9:00 a.m. at the Busia Agricultural Training Centre in Busia County. Members of the public and stakeholders are invited to attend, make presentations, or submit written memoranda on the Bill.

CNBC Africax NCBA Power Lunch East Africa.

On October 15th, in collaboration with CNBC Africa’s Power Lunch East Africa, NCBA Bank Kenya’s Managing Director, James Gossip, will address the theme of Customer Obsession. His focus will be on how prioritizing customer needs, building trust, and fostering inclusion can redefine banking experiences, strengthen loyalty, and unlock untapped market potential across Africa. The East African Business Council shall be hosting the East African Business and Investment Summit & Expo 2025 on 16th and 17th October 2025 in Nairobi. The theme of th conference is Promoting Private Sector Driven Regional Integration for Increased Intra and Extra EAC Trade and Investment. The Summit is an opportunity forhigh-level policy decision-makers and business leaders from the region, continent, and beyond to foster trade and investment ties and chart out the East Africa Economic Agenda.

Ms. Agnes Gathaiya- Independent Non-Executive Director CIC Insurance Group PLC.

Ms. Gathaiya has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive  Director to the Board of the CIC Insurance Group PLC. Prior to this appointment, she was the immediate former Country Director for Google East Africa for over four years, where she drove commercial growth and strengthened the company’s brand presence in the region. Her career has also included senior roles at Deloitte Consulting, SAP, Chase Bank, and Safaricom, as well as serving as CEO of Integrated Payment Services Limited, the team behind Pesalink. Agnes is deeply engaged in governance and development, serving on the boards of Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Simba Corporation, and One Acre Fund, among others. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Bryn Mawr College in the United States and an MBA from United States International University in partnership with Columbia University. She is also a Certified Corporate Governance Professional and an alumna of Harvard’s Women in Leadership Program. Her leadership has earned her wide recognition, including being named among the Top 25 CEOs Leading with Integrity and Ethics in 2025, the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in the C-Suite in 2021, and the Top 200 Women in Fintech in 2019. Earlier in her career, she was listed among Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40.
