The Friends Karura Communty Forest have sued the Ministry of Environment seeking to stop the government from enforcing payment of fees to Karura Forest through the e-Citizen platform. Friends of Karura Community Forest Association rushed to court accusing the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) and the Ministry of Environment of unilaterally directing that entry fees be channeled through the e-Citizen platform. The association argues that there was no public participation and the people were not consulted before the decision was made.The case will be heard before the Environmental Court on 22nd September 2025.

The National Treasury, through a Multi-Agency Taskforce, has developed a Draft Government Assets Valuation Policy Framework for the Public Sector, 2025. This framework provides guidance on principles, processes, and standards for valuation of public assets, with the goal of ensuring uniformity, accountability, and transparency. Biova Agbokou has been appointed as the new Chair of the Board of Directors of Total Energies Kenya. She is set to succeed Elodie Luce, who is stepping down after serving as the chair of the board since 2019. Ms. Biova has a wealth of experience, having served in multiple capacities in the Total Network. She has served as LPG Vice President of Marketing and Services in Paris, and was the Lead Negotiator for New Ventures and Asset Management and Deputy Managing Director of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project in Kampala. In addition, the Managing Director and Country Chair of TotalEnergies in Madagascar, as well as operational and management roles in Equatorial Guinea and France.
