| The Land Act, Inquiry into Acquisition of Nairobi/Block 30/19

| Bomet | The Urban Areas and Cities Act, Transfer of Functions to Sotik Municipality
In line with Article 184 of the Constitution, Section 20 of the Urban Areas and Cities Act (2011, amended 2019), and the Sotik Municipality Charter, 2024, the County Government of Bomet has transferred specified functions from various County Departments to the Sotik Municipality. The transfer includes associated resources, staff, budget, and assets, effective as outlined in the accompanying schedule. |

Upon County Assembly approval, the following have been appointed to the Sotik Municipality Board: Sigei Kenn Kipkemoi (Chairperson), Chepkoech Nelly (Vice-chairperson), Moses Cheruiyot, Ruth Munyao, Gideon Kipkemoi Mutai, Christopher Mutai, and Winny Chepngeno Kirui (Members). Chief Officer and CECM for Lands, Housing and Urban Planning will serve as ex officio members. |
