The Public Finance Management Act – Appointment
- William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces appointed Habil Olaka (Dr.) to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the Financial Inclusion Fund for a period of three (3) years, effective 21 February 2025. The appointment of Irene Muthoni Metha Karimi is revoked.
The Leadership and Integrity Act
- The Judicial Service Commission established the Leadership and Integrity Code, effective February 19, 2025, to be observed by and binding upon its members.
The Kenya Cultural Centre Act – Re-appointment
- The Cabinet Secretary for Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage re-appointed several persons to be members of the Board of the Kenya Cultural Centre Council, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 21st February 2025.
The Working Committee On The Transition Of The Nairobi Coffee Exchange Into The Coffee Exchange Provided Under The Capital Markets (Coffee Exchange) Regulations And The Crops (Coffee) (General) Regulations – Appointment
- The Cabinet Secretary for Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Wycliffe Oparanya as the Chairperson of the National Steering Committee to the Board on Coffee Reforms, has appointed several persons as part of the Working Committee to manage the transition of the Nairobi Coffee Exchange into the framework of coffee exchanges as provided for in the Capital Markets (Coffee Exchange) Regulations and the Crops (Coffee) (General) Regulations
The Standards Act – Appointment
- The Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry, Lee Kinyanjui appointed Wakhungu Chrisantus Wamalwa (Dr.) to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the National Standards Council, for three (3) years, with effect from the 21st February 2025.
The Nyandarua National Polytechnic Order – Appointment
- The Cabinet Secretary for Education, Julius Ogamba appointed several persons to the Nyandarua National Polytechnic Council, for three (3) years, with effect from the 21st February 2025.
The Universities Act – Appointment
- The Cabinet Secretary for Education, Julius Ogamba revokes Amukowa Anangwe (Prof.) as the Chairperson of the Council of the University of Nairobi, effective from the 21st of February, 2025.
- CS Julius Ogamba also revokes the appointment of Langat Christopher Andrew (Dr.) as a board member of the Commission for University Education, with effect from the 21st of February 2025.
The Technical And Vocational Education And Training Act – Appointment
- The Cabinet Secretary for Education appointed several persons as members of the selection panel for the recruitment of the Board of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority, effective from the 21st of February 2025.
The Mining Act – Appointments
- The Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs, Ali Hassan Joho, has appointed several persons as members of the community Development Agreement Committee between Bathi Community in Kiambu County and Carbacid (CO2) Limited.
- He has also appointed several persons to be members of the community Development Agreement Committee between Kipkorgot Community in Uasin Gishu County and Carbacid (CO2) Limited.
The Wildlife Conservation And Management Act
- The Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Ms Rebecca Miano gazettes the Mara North Conservancy Management Plan, 2024–2028 and the Lumo Community Wildlife Conservancy Management Plan, 2024–2029.
The Energy Act
- The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum has gazetted the Energy (Electric Power Undertaking Licensing) Regulations, 2024.
The East African Community Customs Management Act, 2004
- The Commissioner of Customs and Border Control has appointed designated Customs areas and defined their specific boundaries and purposes.
The Court of Appeal – Easter Recess
- President of the Court of Appeal, Daniel Musinga, has issued notice that Easter Recess shall commence on Thursday, 10th April 2025 and shall terminate on Tuesday, 22nd April 2025, both days inclusive. During the recess, the registries of the Court will be open to the public from 9.00 a.m. to 12 noon on all weekdays except public holidays. A judge(s) will be in attendance for the disposal of any urgent business.
High Court of Kenya – Easter Recess
- Justice Eric Ogola has issued notice that the Easter Recess of the High Court and Courts of Equal Status shall commence on 9th April 2025 and terminate on 22nd April 2025, both days inclusive.
The Mental Health Act – Appointment
- Fozia Mohamed Haroon has been appointed as manager and legal guardian of the estate and all affairs of Omar Ahmed Abdulle.
The Political Parties Act
- The Registrar of Political Parties gives notice that the Democratic Action Party-Kenya (DAP-K) intends to change its party head office. Any person with written submissions concerning the intended change by the political party shall within seven (7) days from 21st February, make their written submissions to the Registrar of Political Parties.
The Water Act
- The Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) has received tariff and licence applications from Marsabit Water and Sanitation Company (MARWASCO) and invites public comments on the same within 30 days from 21st February.
The Human Resource Management Professionals Act
- Notice is issued that an election for a new member to the Council shall be held on 5th, 6th and 7th April 2025. The election shall be in respect of a member of the Council representing the Nyanza/Western Region.
The Standards Act – Declaration of Kenya Standards
- The National Standards Council declares specifications or codes of practice appearing to be Kenya Standards, with effect from 21st February.
The Environmental Management and Coordination Act
- The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received Environmental Impact Assessment Study Reports for ;
- The Proposed Mombasa Industrial Park, Mombasa County and is inviting public comments on the same within 30 days from 21st February.
- The Proposed Establishment Of Bus Rapid Transit Line 5 On Outer Ring Road In Establishment Of Bus Rapid Transit Line 5 On Outer Ring Road In Nairobi City County and is inviting public comments on the same within 30 days from 21st February.
- The Proposed Ikhaya Residences Affordable Housing Project On Plot L.R. No. Nairobi/Block 245/327 In Ruaraka, Roysambu Constituency, Nairobi City County and is inviting public comments on the same within 30 days from 21st February.
