Details of FBI Director Christopher Wray’s 5-day visit to Kenya

The FBI director Christopher Asher Wray concluded his trip to Kenya on Wednesday after a series of meetings with top security officials.

He arrived Saturday, June 8, for a five-day trip, which drew speculation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has convened a landmark retreat with heads of Uganda Missions stationed in neighbouring countries to enhance economic growth and development.

The “Ring States”, as they are referred to in the MoFA, include Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, DR Congo, Somalia, South Sudan and Burundi. The four-day event, themed “Enhanced Economic Growth and Development through Promotion of Economic and Commercial Diplomacy,” aims to bolster missions’ ability to attract regional economic cooperation and investments. Ethiopia and the Philippines emphasized the importance of further strengthening their relations in economy and finance. Ethiopia’s Ambassador to South Korea and non-resident Ambassador to the Philippines, Dessie Dalkie, met with the Undersecretary of Finance of the Philippines, Jovez Z. Balbosa.

The two sides exchanged views on economic and financial cooperation and partnership between Ethiopia and the Philippines, according to Embassy of Ethiopia in Seoul, South Korea.

During the discussions, Ambassador Dessie Dalkie noted that Ethiopia and the Philippines have enhanced their diplomatic relations, which date back to 1960. Ambassador Dessie underscores the importance of further strengthening their relations in economy and finance.
