  • The Speaker of the Senate received a message from the Speaker of the National Assembly regarding the passage of the County Allocation of Revenue Bill ( Senate Bills No. 1 of 2022). The Bill is in the process of being submitted to the President for assent.

  • Sen. Mwinyihaji Faki moved that the Senate adopted the Report of the Sessional Committee on Delegated Legislation on its consideration of the Public Finance Management (National Government) (Amendment) Regulations, Legal Notice No.89 of 2022.
  • Sen. Farhiya Haji moved a motion on the adoption of the Report of the Standing Committee on Finance and Budget on the County Governments Additional Allocations Cash Disbursement Schedule for the Financial Year 2021/2022 and Approval of the County Governments Additional Allocations Cash Disbursement Schedule for the Financial Year 2021/2022 
  • Sen. Mwinyihaji Faki moved a motion on the approval of the revised debt ceiling for the National Government. 
  • Sen. Farhiya Haji gave a notice of motion on approval of the Fourth Report of the Procedure and Rules Committee on periodic amendments to the Standing Orders of the Senate.
  • Sen. Hargura Godana gives notice of motion on the adoption of the Report of the Standing Committee on Finance and Budget on the County Governments Additional Allocations Cash Disbursement Schedule for the Financial Year 2021/2022 and Approval of the County Governments Additional Allocations Cash Disbursement Schedule for the Financial Year 2021/2022.

  • Sen. Margaret Kamar moved a motion seeking the approval of the Fourth Report of the Procedure and Rules Committee on periodic amendments to the Standing Orders of the Senate. The Motion has been passed by the Senate.
  • Sen. James Orengo moved a motion on the Alteration of the Senate Calendar to defer the Sine Die Adjournment scheduled for today, to hold a sitting on Tuesday 21st June 2022 at 10:00am.
